Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesOnly downside is that at night (especially on the weekends) it can be loud until 2-3am. A church next door has bells that chime every hour between 7am and 10pm.
This is a great boutique hotel with a central location and beautiful terrace. Maria is available via WhatsApp and helped scheduled us a 2am taxi to the airport. It's located in a great area near so many traditional restaurants. Wonderful alternative to staying in a traditional hotel.

Finland- too noisy with music from restaurants and the very loud church bells - a bit difficult door locks
- location, close to metro and sights - free water bottles, coffee and tea - new towels every day, hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel - big room, nice hosts - good wifi and Netflix on TV

United KingdomThe shower didn't have a glass door or shower curtains to keep the water in so it was challenging to keep the water within its confines, leaving the rest of the bathroom floor wet.
The hosts were exceptionally friendly and kind during my stay. The place is very clean and affordable and the room is very quiet even though it is in the middle of a busy flea market!

United KingdomEverything was brilliant!! More should be made of the location tho' on Booking.com website as it was so perfect (maybe a picture of the restaurant with a live band and of the area just outside on Adrianou Street)
Wonderful 3 night stay at the Beautiful City Suites!! Easy to get to from the airport via direct Metro Link to Monistiraki Square and a 3 minute walk. Very friendly welcome from all of the staff. We had a top floor room (accessed via a narrow spiral staircase from the first floor) which had a very large furnished roof terrace with side views of the Acropolis. Our lovely room was furnished / decorated traditionally but stylishly and, although not massive, we had plenty of room and it was spotlessly clean, with views of the Acopolis out of the window!!. The restaurant downstairs was a hidden gem with great food, excellent friendly service, reasonable prices and buzzing atmosphere. We chose to eat there on 2 of our 3 nights and there was excellent live music laid on with no-one rushing you out of the door. We couldn't have hoped for a more perfect location, about 15 metres down a side street off Adrianou Street and 50 metres from the entrance to the Ancient Agora, in a buzzing/picturesque area with loads of al fresco places to eat and drink which have direct views of the Acropolis. Don't worry about the lack of a lift or the size of the rooms, if you want a lovely romantic place to stay which is right in the middle of things and handy for all major sites, you won't go wrong with the Beautiful City Suites!! Thankyou for making us so welcome, we will definitely be back!!

AustriaVery nice rooms right in the heart of the city with all the attractions within walking distance and many bars and restaurants. This is of course not a quiet area and you may be listening to live greek music until the early hours and then be woken by building works, church bells etc, however the location is excellent and the balcony views are nice, so for a few nights in the city it was perfect.

Czech RepublicMy room was very small, but had everything that I needed. I was informed about the size, but I could not imaging how it will look like. So, I do not complain. It had balcony and it was possible to see Acropoli, but it was not direct, it was only from stairway and behind fence.
The location is fantastic. Staff is very kind and helpfull. Facility does not offer breakfast, but there is plenty oportunities litteraly few meters away. It is over restaurant (same owner) and they have lunch and dinner. I have a luch and it was very good. Bathroom was clean and newely renovated.

SwedenNoisy - church next doors had its bells ringing every now and then and “offered” a loud sermon Sunday morning. Building works close by and noise from restaurants, bars and clubs. Not so good particularly for those preferring to not use the air conditioning with its lamp, and wanting some fresh air during the night.
Very convenient location - close to major tourist attractions, public transport, restaurants etc. Welcoming and accommodating, nice personnel. Clean room. Confortable bed.

AustraliaLoved staying at this little family run hotel. Rooms are located next door and upstairs from the family owned taverna accessible only to guests staying in the rooms by key. Rooms are lovely and have high decorative ceilings. Bathrooms clean and modern. Bonus little balcony off bedroom. Great aircon. Clean towels provided daily. Location was perfect surrounded by tavernas, shops, flea markets, tourist sights and transport. Around the corner from Monstriki Square. Loved our stay here and would recommend to anyone looking for a comfy affordable place in the middle of the tourist action of Athens.

BCS are in the heart of Athens with many shops, restaurants and the Acropolis just a stones throw away. You can get to the Suites easily using the metro either from the port or the airport. The rooms are wonderful have everything you need, very clean and the roof top terrace had views of the Acropolis. The suites are situated above a lovely restaurant, which is a must to eat in during your stay, fabulous greek food, would definitely recommend. The staff team were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, we even left our luggage with the restaurant below whilst checking in/out. Definitely would recommend.
