Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe complex is beautifully renovated while keeping the old essence of the small building. The small number of rooms keeps it intimate. Location is amazing. Charming place.

United KingdomNone. It was perfect.
The property is perfect! It is so close to The Agora. Plenty of restaurants and cafes. The room I was has got the best view of the Acropolis! It has a cute veranda and winding staircase! Really nice. The staff were wonderful people especially Lambros and Anna. Amazing people and the food at the restaurant was gorgeous!!

AustraliaThe staff were excellent. There is no lift, but our suitcases were carried up to our room and back down on checkout. We even had a view of the Parthenon from our room, and some local wine provided! The attached restaurant had excellent, well priced meals and the service was spot on. A special shout out to Harris, who provided excellent service and recommendations in the Restaurant, and did the heavy lifting of the suitcases!

We arrived earlier than check-in and were able to leave our bags while we explored the area. We quickly realized just how close we were to everything, like Monastiraki Square and that we were steps away from the Flea Market, and saw the amazing view of the Acropolis and Parthenon that we had. We were allowed to check-in about 2 hours early with no issues or additional cost. A very kind staff member carried our bags up the stairs to the room, which we were grateful for. The female owner assisted us with the very easy check-in and showed us our room and where everything was, including the free welcome water and wine in the fridge. The room, room #3, was perfect and lacked nothing. The Wifi and AC worked great! No shower door, but I don't think that is too uncommon in Greece. There was a drain in the bathroom floor for any water that escaped the shower to go down, as necessary. We did have our own private balcony which we enjoyed. The balcony opened up to the back of the hotel and many other buildings, but overlook the other buildings and just enjoy the view of the Acropolis. We had dinner downstairs in their family restaurant the first night and it may have been the best meal we had during our 3 night stay. Although there are many restaurants around, I'd recommend that you give it a try. We had no needs or requests of the staff during the stay. Clean towels and tidying up of the room was provided daily. We couldn't have been happier with the hotel and its location, especially at the price point.

United StatesIt would have been nice to have someone to to talk to on site or more accessible.
The hotel was in a great location. The room was small but adequate. We had a nice bathroom and a cool little balcony. We were right next to the Ancient Agora.

AustraliaWe had a lovely room without street noise but some of our family had rooms facing the street over the restaurant and found that a bit noisy on Fri and Sat nights.
Location was excellent. It was possible to walk to all the sites and there were so many food options right in the doorstep.

United StatesThe church bell is close to the hotel and a bit loud. The bed could have been a tad firmer for my taste but I like a very firm bed. Advice: when bringing luggage up and down the spiral staircases, only carry 1 at a time.
Location, very near the Monasteraki Metro Station which directly connects with the airport. The room was a good deal for the price with a nice terrace outside the front door. The restaurant next door that has the same owners as the hotel had excellent food and all the staff was great. Be sure to try some of the traditional home cooked Greek meals at the restaurant. Great views from the terrace.

United KingdomCheck in was very smooth, we were just checking our phone to make sure we were in the right place when the host came from the restaurant to let us in. To clarify access to the rooms - there is no lift but to reach the rooms on the top floor there is half a flight of marble stairs, then one flight of a wide wooden spiral staircase (3 rooms on this floor), then a narrower metal spiral staircase. We had one of the top rooms - the room itself is not large but has plenty of space to store suitcases out of the way and has a fridge & kettle. The bathroom has a good shower. But you also have access to the large roof terrace so unless the weather is terrible there's no need to sit inside. And the views of the Agora, Lycabettus Hill and the Acropolis are great too. We ate twice at the restaurant downstairs, lovely authentic Greek food. There are also plenty of other options in the area. It wasn't a problem for us as we were always up early/ are not light sleepers but if you are the church next door rings bells until 11pm and start again at 7am. So remember the ear plugs and everything should be fine. All in all we would definitely stay again

Hong Kongit was not clear that there is a rapid stairs to access the room. Not suitable for ancient people. the room 1 & 2 doesn't offer the view on the Parthenon. It will be better if in the bathroom there will be more furniture to place the make up bag, or the shaver. unfortunately the cups used for a welcome coffee and glasses to drink a welcome wine remained dirty for 2 days.
great location to visiting the city and to do shopping. Clean room with enough space for 2 people. Bathroom towels changed every day. there is also welcome wine and water in the bar fridge.
