How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The bed in our room (1A) was on a platform which it made difficult to get into and out of bed. But it was probably the cheapest room in the hotel so.... But we would book a better room if we were to visit again. Otherwise a nice hotel in a great location.

Absolutely loved the accommodation, the location is excellent right at the heart of the city, bed was super comfortable, and the balcony of the room we booked was very spacious. The property was overall very clean. Special mention for Dimitris (the staff member that works during check-in) for being super helpful. I would stay here again for sure.

Locating was perfect in the heart of the bustle of Athens. Amazing restuarants and Bars nearby. The staff were amazing ans spent a lot of time helping us plan our trip in Athens and would have friendly conversations everyday. The room was exceptional for a reasonable price. The shower had jets coming from everywhere with hot powerful water. Very modern feel to the room and very clean. We would happily stay there again. And it was within a reasonable budget. We were truly in the heart of the City centre.

Really nothing
Everything was excellent, clean, well equipment and new. We had amazing stay at Bed in Athens. It is very close to Monastiraki square and all well known restaurants, coffee houses. Pysri area is also very nice location to stay. I would highly recommend to stay at Bed in Athens. We always love to travel Greece, thanks to Greek people :)

Great little hotel in the busting area of Athens. Lots of restaurants around and 5-minute walk to the metro. The staff are lovely and willing to help with anything. The rooms are good size and tea, coffee facilities provided. Has an elevator so don't have to drag bags up stairs

We didn't like our first room very much, they changed it immediately on the 2nd day. The employees are friendly and helpful. If I go to Athens again, I will stay again with peace of mind. The location is very good.

Nothing, all was better than expected.
The location was great, very close to Monastiraki metro. The loft had everything we needed. We also had a small inside "yard" - perfect for having a morning coffee.

everything was great, nothing to complain
Really nice and airy room, simple, modern, great fit for three of us. Room was clean, bed was supercomfy and tho we had short night coming in late and leaving really early we rested and slept really well, with a quick stroll around the best neighbourhood in Athens before going to bed.

The only disadvantage was that because the property is located in the city center, it was a bit noisy, however the personnel was kind enough to have placed in our room ear plugs for the noise. We haven't used them though since we were tired and managed to sleep very well in the excellent bed and pillows.
The location of the property is excellent, in the city center. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed. The room was cleaned every day and we had toilet papers, shampoo etc restocked without asking for anything. The quality of bed and pillows was excellent. The personnel was very friendly and helpful.

The streets are very compact in that location even with a map device if you blink you can easily miss it. Some landmarks would be helpful when confirming booking to help find it easier.
This hotel looks and feels brand new. A very spacious room and bathroom with its ultra-minimalistic style. Very comfortable bed and quality sheets provided a great night's sleep. A great bathroom with lots of water and toiletries. Nice touches with water/coffee machines the radiators were warm and what felt like underfloor heating which was most welcome in February. Great hotel minutes away from the vibrant Monastiraki district and metro. Lots of eating spots and bars directly outside.
