For us it was on the pricier side.

Very comfortable and quiet apartment in a very central location. The views from the porch are amazing. In September the porch gets quite hot in the morning but becomes shady in the afternoon. Comfortable bed, good wifi, great kitchen.

I was able to have an early check in, Eleftheria the owner arranged for Irini to meet me at the property. Once we got up the 54 stairs the view was breathtaking to say the least & so worth the climb! Irini’s face said it all, she was very welcoming & even though there is a language barrier Irini was very warm hearted. One bedroom Bella Vista apartment is free of clutter & has everything you need, less is best, very clean & tidy. It was such a pleasure to spend my 4 nights at Bella Vista. There are 2 apartments & they are regularly serviced with fresh towels & rubbish removal. Plenty of recommendation on request & a friendly taxi driver Petros who I called on a number of occasions. I highly recommend Bella Vista & would definitely return.

Eleftheria was the most friendly and kind person that we have met as a host. The house was very comfortable with a gorgeous terrace and great views. The house inside was lovely and cool as the stone walls are very thick. We had a really good nights sleep on the comfy bed. There is a vegetable garden and you can pick the tomatoes or cherry tomatoes. I recommend this apartment to stay for the amazing views and friendly host

Bella Vista was simply one of the best apartments we have ever stayed in. The location in Penteli is in our favourite part of the island and the view from the terrace with the delightful vegetable garden is exceptional. Our warm hosts Eleftharia, Theo and Yiannis elevated our stay to something that will stay with us for a long time.

We loved the view, the spaciousness of the balcony with an amazing view over the small fishing harbour. The hosts were particularly welcoming and friendly. Great space for us to relax for 5 days. The location was perfect, just steps down to the beach and tavernas, whilst staying quiet with birdsong without any hustle and bustle. The decoration was lovely and we used the cooking facilities.

stunning view (truly Bella Vista), great location (Panteli is the best area on the island, just 20 min walk from ferries at Agia Marina), beautifully spacious rooms (large shower). Good indoor and outdoor seating, all the cooking, eating and drinking utensils you might need including nice wine glasses. Beach towels, helpful host, good WiFi… basically everything you need for a great holiday.

Absolutely nothing.

Quite a few steps to get to the apartment so not suitable for those with mobility issues, but those steps ensure that you get fantastic views over the bay, both from the bedroom and the spacious shaded balcony with built in benches as well as chairs and coffee table. It is very quiet, despite being only minutes away from the beach, cafes and restaurants. Very secure with a solid front door and Yale lock. Inside the thick walls it is cool (although there is also air- con), airy and very stylish. Built in benches in living room with space for two people to lie and a small dining table. The kitchen is very well equipped and everything is very clean. The bathroom is gorgeous. My bugbear in many bathrooms is that there is no space for your toiletries, but that is not a problem here. Also, there were a huge amount of toiletries already there and even a pair of hair straighteners! The shower was powerful, with plenty of hot water. The bedroom was spacious, with space to hang clothes and lights and sockets each side of the bed. Good quality sheets, a comfy mattress and a blackout blind. Communication with the lovely owners Eleftheria and Theo was great and Eleftheria was also able to pick us up from the port as she was not working that day, but she will organise a taxi for you which costs €8-10. We loved Panteli and all the restaurants seemed great, but our favourites were the fennel fritters from El Greco, the galactoboureko from Sweet Leros, anything from the menu at Tis Kakomoiras and the spinach and cheese pastries at Mike's in Platanos. Also in Platanos is an artisan jeweller (shop opposite the main restaurant, no sign, but jewellery in window, prices very reasonable). All these recommendations within a 15 min walk, most less than that.

Bella Vista is a lovely apartment, with gorgeous views. The apartment has everything you need for a short break. The hosts were very responsive and helpful with any questions we had before our stay, greeted us at check-in and popped in to see how we were getting on. We would love to return to Leros and Bella Vista will be at the top of our list.

It’s good to note that there are several flights of steps, which we didn’t mind. But it would be unsuitable for anyone that has difficulty climbing steps.

The view, location, patio and garden were so very much enjoyed. Our hosts were lovely and I look forward to seeing them again as much as I look forward to visiting Leros again! The space itself is very comfortable with a large bathroom and small kitchen area.

There is nothing we disliked about our stay except six days was too short! However it should be noted that the stairs might be a problem for some. There is no handrail, so keep that in mind if a steep descent and unprotected drop-off might make you nervous.

It’s hard to describe the beauty of the view from aptly named Bella Vista. We have travelled all over the world and our stay on Leros will stand out as special in so many ways, but especially the beauty and comfort of Bella Vista and the warmth and generosity of our hosts Eleftheria and Theo. It’s a fast €10 taxi ride from the ferry, and our hosts were there to greet us with local wine, cheese pies and help with our luggage. Although they don’t live at the property, they are nearby and dropped in often to tend the vegetable garden and chat with us. We really enjoyed their visits! The accommodation is very comfortable with outdoor seating and a 180° view over the pretty town and harbour of Panteli, which was hard to drag ourselves away from. The little house has been beautifully converted and has everything you need to make simple meals and relax comfortably both inside and out. There’s a cluster of little shops and eateries along the beach below. There are 50 steps up to Bella Vista to keep you fit as you indulge in the many flavours of delicious Greek food! Leros is a wonderful island for walking with many quite hilly walks to different sites of interest and the towns of Platanos, Agia Marina and Lakki are within a half-hour walk. Leros lacks a tourist information centre with maps and It should be noted that some “streets” marked on Google Maps are not wide enough for cars or are actually stairs! It is well worth the effort to visit the castle and the old windmills and small chapel on the ridge. Check first as the castle is not open every day. One highlight for us was the lack of crowds. After a short stay in Rhodes town we really enjoyed the fact that Leros is not a cruise ship port!
