Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaThe host is rude. In my opinion she needs to find someone else to manage this property because she is unprofessional. She sent me message after message after message about my review. Kept saying I left a bad review because I am "jet lagged" and had the audacity to give me the symptoms of jet lag as if I am some kind of uneducated idiot. My review was overall positive. I had been in the country for over a week by the time I arrived in Kalamata. I was not jet lagged. The bed is not very comfortable, plain and simple. Potential security issue regarding access to the building which I brought to the attention of the host, for her own benefit. (which she apparently does not appreciate in the slightest). The bed was uncomfortable for me. It's a sofa bed, not a "bed" so, like most sofa beds, it's not very comfortable.
Excellent location. Walk to old town in 10 minutes or less. Parking right in front of the building Cute, pleasant aesthetic Well stocked kitchen (but not much room to work in there) Air conditioning (phew!) Great value for low season. 36 euro per night! Host provides some water and tea in your room, as well as some other goodies in the common areas and kitchen you can purchase.

GreeceI will never forget the experience of waking up in the morning, sarounding by singing birds and the smell of the blossomed garden, of my window.! The sea, is just 5' min walking distance, the market and the central city max 2' to 5'min The room is small, but very beautiful. I recomend for singles . Coumples should ask the owner for both of Melina Escape rooms. One next to the other. As a living room and a sleeping room. But for a single visitor with a kid or friend its perfect! I had also choice between a double bed or a sofa bed Netflix is a plus ! Photos are honest. Reality is better. I think they should add the photos of the extra room, if somebody needs it. The honesty and kindness of the house keeper are exceptional. The contact person responded fast to all of my question. I have decided to stay longer. The walls are perfectly isolated. I made the best choice.
