Location is hard to reach the beach. You can walk but this is incredibly difficult. Easy to reach if you have a car but the roads are steep. Once you reach the beach it is beautiful.

Very clean and modern villa. Perfect for families and groups. We really enjoyed the pool and the dining terrace, the view is amazing! The kitchen was fully equipped although the dishwasher didn't really work. The villa was cleaned twice during our stay with new bedding and fresh towels which was very nice. When we arrived the owner greated us even though our flight arrived very late. He helped us with local information and let us have a late check out. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to explore the area.

Although I highly recommend this place, there were are little flaws that can be looked it and that we personally pay attention to. First, there are no mosquito nets in the windows nor doors (very strange, they were present in each and every villa we stayed before in GR), so variety of living little things can eagerly join you inside, hah. In the pool area, there's plenty of sunbeds, but no single umbrella (strange again). In one of the bathrooms, the bigger one, there was no shower holder, so one had to hold it all the time while showering (no big deal, but...). Another thing is the concept of the villa itself -- the social area (kitchen and living room) is located on the floor 0, while three bedrooms are on the -1 and +1 floors. Now, the point is: the bedroom on the +1 floor is an open area, no door nor wall above the stairs, so when someone makes coffee or anything else early in the morning, people sleeping above can be easily woken up; two bedrooms on -1 floor are ok, but they both serve also as the entrances to the pool area... very strange concept. For the three of us it was ok, but if we were larger group, it would have meant lack of privacy for some of us. One last thing I'd want to warn you, dear reader, is that it's not a calm area, sadly. It has nothing to do with the villa or the owner themselves, just be aware all the villas around are really close and quite popular among people wanting to party, also at night -- so, possibility of having a sleepless night due to this is high.

The villa is equipped with everything one can possibly need - brand new domestic appliances, Nespresso coffee maker and capsules for it, two hairdryers with diffusers, two bathrooms, quite big sewing kit, washing machine and dishwasher, brand new fridge, and whatnot, it's an endless list. The host, Giorgos, is very polite and frieldy person, attentive to guests' needs; upon our arrival there were already 'welcome' groceries for us in the fridge (fruit, milk, bottle of water, wine, juice, bread, cheese, ham). Air conditioning works well. The flowers, plants, grass surrounding the pool are very well kept, and so is the pool. During one week stay, the villa was fully cleaned two times (including bedsheets and towels change etc.), while the pool was cleaned in daily basis by two nice cleaning ladies.

Charming villa, the owner George, was the best ever host, he was taking care of us all the time. The villa is equipped with all you need plus he send us some complimentary products, super nice. The location is also very good between Heraclion and Rethimno, close to small villages with restaurants and nice beaches.

Villa is located on beautiful hill with amazing sea view, having a swimming pool is also a huge advantage. Georgio’s the Host was very helpful and very positive person.

The only issue was WiFi, which was very slow and jumpy, so we had to hotspot. This would not have been an issue if we were not working, of course.

The house was fabulous, with a lot of space and all required amenities. George met us to give us the keys, a tour of the house, and he was amazing. A welcome gift was also given to us, and it was local food & wine! We were working remotely during the day, and it was the perfect calm environment we needed, with the pool at our finger tips at the end of the day, beaches & supermarkets close by, and Irakleio 20 minutes away.

Very little, when you have to comment on a blunt pair of scissors you know you are trying hard. Note that while it is possible to walk to a couple of beaches, it can be hot on the uphill walk back. It is good to have a car also for seeing more of the island and, while there is a good mini-market nearby, for any longer time getting into Heraklion for a larger supermarket is useful.

Fantastic two weeks at Blue Hills Villas. The manager Georgios was welcoming, friendly and super helpful, he even took neighbouring villa renters to the supermarket as they didn't have a car. The 89yo owner was active in the gardens and when he found our some of our party were ill, he came with greek honey, raki and herb tea ingredients (but Georgios' advice on how to get antibiotics maybe more practical) ! Theseus beach mentioned by Booking.com is private but nearby beaches of Ligaria, Agia Pelagia and Mades were all good, with different sizes and facilities. Loved Crete and its people, so generous and welcoming.

You need to have a car to get in and out of villa. It will take you 30-40 minutes to get to the beach by foot.

Really nice beautiful place, was built in 2020. Had all amenities, even mosquito killer adapter. Fully equipped kitchen, host make a complementary food waiting in the fridge upon arrival. Towels, robes, hair dryer, washing machine, ladies toiletries, fully equipped bathrooms. Great place to stay. Has small tavernas around in case you don’t want to go anywhere for food.

The property is nice, passing to the pool is a bit problematic since it goes through the rooms, there is a bypass. Could have more privacy for the rooms.
