You need a bit of luck to park a (hired) car.

The house is nice, on the third floor, with large balcony on two sides. Breakfast was simple but okay. The bed is a bit short, but again okay And Elena is a very nice person!

Elena the host is a very attentive host, who works from an office in the shared apartment most days. Location is fairly central if you don't mind a 10-20 minute walk to the city centre and bus stops. Breakfast is a bonus although you will probably need to add to it with your own supplies.

If you have heavy luggage the 3 flights of stairs could be difficult

Elena was very friendly and welcoming. The room is large and has air conditioning and two windows which allow a good breeze.

climbing the stairs can be problematic if you are not fit - I had covid recently… i walked all around town to get to everywhere, but it takes about 20 min to get to the center. bus stops nearby

the views, the homeliness feeling, the neighborhood, beautiful Apartment! nearby there are typical shops, with homemade wine (katsounas grill house) and bakery nearby. the very friendly host and the quality for the accessible price

Not that close and uphill , plus no elevator, broke my suitcase handle trying to get up there. Also, trying to get hold of the owner, didnt respond till 11h next day, and only after I called

Nice apartment, I was only there for two nights but it is a a good place to stay if you want to explore Heraklion for a few days. The breakfast is self service but you have to bring some of your own groceries as only limited food items are available at the apartment.

Other guests were a bit too loud during the late evening. The chapel rang their bells 7 in the morning loudly. Bear in mind this is not the quietest neighborhood, and might be problematic if you're a light sleeper. Wifi is okay. Though it does not seem to reach some parts of the room.

Excellent and accomodating host who helped me answering any questions I had during the stay. The room with the doublebed was clean, comfortable, and definitely worth the value. The common area was also quite nice and clean.

The breakfast was a little more basic than expected, just some rice cakes and coffee.

The host was really nice and friendly, and the room was big and comfortable with all the amenities you need, especially Air Conditioning for the summer heat. It was also very cool there was a terrace to sit on too!

Elena is a really lovely host, you feel like you’re at home. You get a lot for little money, even air condition and a small self-service breakfast. Everything was clean and it’s located close to the center but you have to walk a bit.

We arrived really late because of the flight, but the host was awake waiting for us. She is very nice and she makes you feel home immediately. She also gave us a upgrade for the double room, we really appreciate that! Comfortable room.

The Internet didn't reach my room, and I needed to work a little so I worked in the common area. It was comfortable and quiet, but I would prefer if it reached the room, as it had a desk and a chair. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but I guess it's the charm of an old building. Apartment's location on the top of the building is both a pro and a con - the view is amazing and it has a large rooftop terrace, but I would not recommend this place for people with mobility problems as you need to climb three or four floors up the narrow stairs to reach it.

I had a very nice stay at Blue Maizon. It's a spacious apartment with two rooms for rent. Mine was big, had a desk and a comfortable chair for work, large bed, nice view from one window and a balcony on the other side. The apartment is situated on the top of the building and there is a lovely terrace with a table. The breakfast was basic - mostly supermarket snacks, cookies, fruits and spreads - you won't be full, but it's enough to keep you going until early lunch. Sanitary masks were provided for the guests to use. There is also a kitchen that guests can use. The hostess is super nice and the value for money is fantastic. There are many shops and bars in the area.
