How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We have stayed other time and the staff were very kind, helpful and polite, the rooms are very spacious and nice. The breakfast was very nice aswell.

TV didn't have international channels as far as I could tell - not very important for me. Back streets in neighbourhood a bit seedy but perfectly possible to reach hotel from metro by sticking to 2 main roads: 3rd September Street and Chalkokondili Street.
Nice modern hotel, very large room, very comfortable bed, nice shower, helpful staff, excellent breakfast included in the price. Quite close to metro station Omonia

Nothing to note. I had read previous reviews about the neighbourhood but we had no issues walking at night and did not feel uncomfortable at all.
Convenient location for markets, fabulous alleyways to explore, transport (metro and bus) as well as points of interest. Rooms were very large, clean, beds soft, serviced daily and breakfast was plentiful with great selection. The added complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely touch. Staff were very friendly and check in was a breeze. Overall very happy with our stay.

The breakfast is very repetitive I stayed for 5 days and the breakfast is exactly the same for 5 days. Daily cleaning at my room could be better
Staff are very kind and friendly , the lady at the reception offered me an upgrade, rooms are spacious , very good value for money and very close to metro station

Street bums and women is around the hotel looking for a quick money as they came up to my friend and ask for a quick time
The facility was good, clean and staff were helpful. Everything was supplied, very spacious. I was not happy about the location because the street had homeless and the apartment across from the hotel was not good. Overall I will stay there again.

Neighbourhood
One of the best hotels of its kind, the girl at the reception was very kind and professional. Spacious and clean rooms, luxurious breakfast. The neighborhood is not good, but this is not your fault. we only stayed one night... But we'll be back for sure

Currently most bedroom are using daylight, it would be great to use warm light.
Breakfast were fabulous with wide range of choices and great coffee selection.

Location is but far from the main attractions, it was approx 25 min walk. Breakfast was okay. Not many options for vegetarian/ Halal. The food items in breakfast should have levels.
We got a room in 9th floor, with Balcony. The room is nice, big and clean. I stored my luggage in their luggage room in the morning and collected it late night. Stuff were helpful

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Everything was better than we expected! The reception staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. The room was very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a big variety of food and everything was delicious. I will definitely recommend this hotel and if I need to stay in Athens again, I will stay at the Boss Boutique Hotel.

The room is amazing. Super big room with sofa and 2 tv units. The Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom is very big and comfortable as well. It was super clean. Highly recommended

The only thing we were a little worried about was the location and going and coming to the hotel as it got dark as the area had a lot of rough looking people about on the streets. We tried a different street to get there every night just to be more safe.
Breakfast was good with a good variety. Rooms were well maintained and clean.

Nothing. They were so helpful
I loved everything! It was a superb stay. The staff were kind, the breakfast buffet was good and the location was central. I saw complaints about the location after booking but I’m glad I kept my reservation anyways. All the times I walked back at night as a solo woman, I never felt unsafe. I stayed 7 nights
