We loved our stay here. A more knowledgeable and accomodating host and hostess would be hard to find. Michaelis and Katja because of their enormous experience in the industry, artistry and attention to detail were capable of creating such a delightful space. A 10 out of 10 for sure. And well deserved I should say. Breakfast was wonderful, the view of the sea a huge plus and there is parking as well. A/C upstairs and downstairs (split level) and many unexpected surprises due to their generosity. Just Stellar.

A perfect stay. Staff where most welcoming and attentive, great friendly feel. We where very late checking in and the lovely owner waited for us to make sure we where shown round and checked in. This hotel has a luxury boutique feel, ideal for couples wanting a quiet stay. Room was designed with guests in mind from the ambient lighting, electric curtains, comfy bed, powerful hot shower, abundant towels, water topped up every day and room was immaculately clean. Breakfast the staff went above and beyond to cater to whatever you wanted. It was personalized to your needs,10 out of 10 all the way, fresh and tasty. We had cute little surprises in our room too like local keep sakes. Location is ideal walk to all the towns shops, cafes, restaurants and hotel has its own section on the sandy beach with beds and umbrellas which has attentive service all day. Parking was no issue. Me and my partner travel a lot and stay at many hotels across Europe and this is one of the best we have visited for all round satisfaction and price. For our needs privacy, a quiet stay and modern luxury is key and this hotel ticked all these boxes.

Designer touch in the room, perfectly clean, you feel being care about all the time, even on the beach. Beach is just a few steps away. Delicious breakfast, best coffee in town! Highly recommended!😊

We liked everything. Just a note on the breakfast though, it is ordered one day before from a pretty narrow selection (meaning almost the same every day), fresh bakery and a nice “gift”from the hosts every day. We don’t mind eating the same, we do this at home as well :-j, just be mindful of this if you look for diversity.

Excellent accomodation, very modern and “smart house” - you do not have to worry about forgetting your key :-) Very comfortable bed, encourages you to sleep long in the mornings accompanied by sea waves. Wonderful staff, appreciated a lot the daily bottle of water, coffee capsels and kind “attentions” . You can sit on the balcony facing the sea and - although you are also facing the street (which can be noisy at times), closing the windows makes it perfectly quiet. A/C or fan, whatever you prefer. And perfect wi-fi! Sandy beach, although some stones when entering the water. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Location is 30 min walk away from the city center, but plenty of tavernas everywhere and a nice walking area along the beach - looks like everyone is jogging there every morning!

Thank you for 4 wonderful days at your Calla Luxury Seafront Suites Calla suites is in a magnificent location, offering easy access to the beach and being within walking distance to local restaurants. This made it so convenient for us to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and taste the local cuisine. All staff, particularly Mihali, the owner, were very hospitable and accommodating. They all made us feel welcomed and at home during our 4 day stay. Mihali ensured that our friend, who was celebrating a birthday, had a special surprise for her at breakfast, showing their thoughtfulness and attention to detail. The breakfast, served by the pool, was always delicious and plentiful, providing a satisfying start to our day. Mihalis would always go to the bakery and get us the freshest of bread and Greek pastries. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and modern, offering a home away from home feeling. The lounge chairs at the beach are also complementary. We had an awesome time thanks to its magnificent location, hospitable staff, delicious breakfast, and comfortable rooms.

The details that made my stay stress free and swanky chill vibe. From the glass bottle of water (no extra charge), the electronic room codes (fancy for you don’t have to worry about carrying a key around town or leaving it on the beach while in the water), the music at the pool, comfortable mattress, abundance of towels (for bath and beach) and robes, reserved beach chairs and umbrellas… I can go on.

That we weren't staying longer!

Exceptional accommodation tastefully designed and furnished with incredible attention to detail using latest technology. The hosts Katja and Michalus were extremely welcoming and helpful. Service by all the staff was excellent throughout our stay. We stay in one of the ground floor rooms and had direct access to the pool as well as a hot tub.

We liked everything about Calla. The owners were terrific, as was their entire staff. The rooms were well thought out and spotlessly clean, with all of the amenities that you'd expect in a large, five-star luxury brand hotel. Even though the hotel is in a very busy area along the beach in Rethymno, the vibe inside is very relaxed and quiet. The large windows offer a nice view of the ocean while blocking out pretty much all of the noise from the busy street in front of the hotel.

Everything about Calla was perfect! We travelled from Santorini from Crete and were delighted when we contacted the team at Calla and they arranged transport from the ferry to Rethymno! On initial arrival, the complex as a whole is extremely modern and spotless and the pool area is very relaxing! Katja welcomed us and from the beginning was fantastic, providing us with all our info and sent to us her list of recommendations for Rethymno (& Crete)-this list proved to be amazing, a mix of restaurants/bars/tourist attractions we tried to go to each recommendation and there was no disappointment, food and atmosphere etc was perfect at each location and the tourist attractions are well worth seeing so a massive thank you again for that as it took a lot of stress from us to research these ourselves! Our room was amazing, classy and super relaxing! There was a welcoming bottle of sparkling rosé to congratulate us on our recent engagement which was a lovely touch! We loved the room so much we are actually planning on using the same tiles (both bathroom and flooring!) for our house that we are currently building!! The black out curtains, soundproofed room and the extremely comfortable bed made our stay extremely relaxing! Small touches like leaving a little present for us on our last night, little treats after the room has been cleaned, waters replaced daily-left us feeling like kings and it showed the owners really care about their guests! The private beach and access to loungers across the road was also fantastic-all along the beach can be quite busy yet here we had our own private area which we found incredible! All the staff at Calla are extremely friendly! I could write an essay on how every little thing on our stay impressed us! The place was perfect and exceeded our expectations! Would highly recommend anyone looking to stay in Rethymno to stay with Katja and Michalos! Thank you again for everything! We sincerely hope to return soon!

Calla is a small, modern property, run by the owner family. The suites are elegant, spacious, and comfortable. The hosts are warm, friendly, and helpful. The outdoor space by their small pool is comfortable, and their beach space with loungers and full service is great! The location is a 15 minute wall from the Old Town of Rethymno, far enough for peace, closer enough to enjoy! 100% recommended!
