we were a group of 8 people that booked 4 rooms. All the rooms are good size and comfortable except from the economy double room which is small. But this was our fault - we did not notice that this room was a lot smaller than the others we have booked. However the economy double room is more suitable for solo travelers

location was perfect - within the old city. The rooms are nicely decorated, have good facilities (including tea and coffee making facilities, fridge) and are clean. The owner is very friendly, extremely responsive to questions and requests. He offered us the room earlier than the check in time and we were allowed to check out late for 2 out of the 4 rooms we booked. He aslo helped us with booking a taxi to go to the airport and gave us excellent suggestions for restaurants

Just very minor complaints – having some space by the sink to put the hand soap bar would be great, and maybe a spoon for the instant coffee. The second window blind was stuck (more of an aesthetic issue, the blackout blind worked well).

I enjoyed my stay at Camere Maritima. The single room is small yet it was sufficient for my two-week stay. It's clean, the bed is comfy, the window is sound-proof, and the shower was the best working (= not-flooding everything) shower I ever had on Crete ;) The location is unbeatable – you are in the middle of everything yet it's quiet enough for a good night's rest. Giorgos is very responsive and helpful.

Modern and very clean room! The location is excellent, it's close to everything but still quiet enough to not hear anything of all the surrounding bars. Giorgos, the host, is extremely considerate and helpful and provided us with excellent recommendations of food and things to do when we asked. Would highly recommend!

In the heart of Chania, steps from the Venetian Port. The room was small but very well-appointed so it felt bigger. The shower was amazing, and the noise level was completely fine considering the amount of tourist traffic. Giorgos is an amazing host. He was helpful and gave me lots of ideas of places to visit. He was also very responsive whenever I had a question. I will definitely be back

Close to the water and everything in the town of Chania. Modern fixtures, great shower and Netflix feature on TV which was great . It was self check in which I havent experienced in my travels before but host was very communicative checking in each day, offering advice and room cleaned each day. Check in instructions very clear and easy to understand. Very secure property, 2 keypads with code to get in which I felt very secure staying there

The location is excellent, you're one street behind the marina waterfront (20yd walk) right in the heart of town and despite the reports of other friends staying in the old town nearby, the room was silent with no noise from the busy streets. It is self check in though the owner Giorgos is on hand immediately with any answers via WhatsApp. In my time staying he managed to sort me taxis, recommend local restaurants and bars (all were excellent) and point me in the direction of butchers/supermarkets that I needed for my stay. He couldn't be more helpful or friendly. You will see the cleaner on site daily, who is also one of the friendliest people I have ever met and so efficient at her job. I had a 45 minute meeting next door and when I returned she'd prioritised cleaning my room for the day. The room is beautifully laid out, the shower very powerful and the room I stayed in had a decent sized terrace which was great to read on in the evenings, or coffee on in the mornings. For accessibility, these are old buildings so there is no lift, however my room with the roof terrace was only 3 flights. On departure I was offered the room an extra two hours without asking due to a later arrival of the next guest, which was hugely appreciated. I loved my stay (it was recommended by a friend who had stayed twice previously) and will definitely be back.

This is my 2nd time here and i was not disappointed. location is perfect. even though no cars can take you to the location, the taxi drops you off 3 mins walk, so its perfect. George, the person looking after the place helps you out with everything which makes things super easy for you. i would def recommend it to anybody. was my 2nd time here, and if i will visit Chania, i will be def staying here again.

The interior is modern, the room was extremely clean, the AC cooled the room within 2-3 minutes, the balcony a treat (it was full moon during my stay). Most importantly the host Giorgos was amazing. Very responsive, helpful and kind. I wholeheartedly recommend this place
