How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bed was ridiculously hard - we felt like we were sleeping only on a box spring. Room was noisy due to traffic.
Location near Archeological Museum was great - it was right across the street. Also near shops and restaurants. Hotel was close to ferry terminal which was our goal. Breakfast was outstanding.

The pool wasn't open! So sorry to have read this in the fine print when its the thing the Hotel advertises with. And the elevators really need a fix into 2024.
Nice location close to the centre and amazing restaurants.

Window faced a nasty internal yard and there was a lot of moisture in the room. Breakfast buffet could be much better - scrambled eggs tasted weird and fruits had no taste at all.
Great location, very close to the Heraklion Archaeological Museum. Great views from the rooftop restaurant, which offered very good food and drinks.

I liked everything but the rooms may require some renovation. But in general it’s a very beautiful hotel in a strategic location
The location is amazing, pets friendly. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

The hotel needs general renovation, everything is old. The pool environment is also old. There is no parking, you have to pay.
The location of the hotel is very good. Rooftop pool with city view. Breakfast was really good. Room for one night Ok, but not longer. Nice reception and restaurant.

There’s no view in most if the rooms. And even though the staff was kibd enough to change ours to a room with balcony, but still no view. I guess it’s because if the location. And tge swimming pool has some limited hours.

The reception was a bit understaffed eventhough they did their maximum to respond to any request it felt they were missing one extra personnel member

It's well situated with a bus stop 30 seconds out the door. The coach station for Minoan lines is 5 to 10 minutes walk away which makes access the rest of Crete very easy. The room was good. Only stayed for the afternoon and evening as we had a late night flight. The pool is a tad small but for where it is, there isn't much else you can do

Street noise from "boy racers", especially Fri nights Delibrate revving of cars and loud boom boxes. Internal loud noise, sound of someone scraping furniture about. Very early in the mornings, 0500 ish, would wake us up. this happened on 75% of our stay. Couldn't pin down whether it was cleaning staff or another guest.

The windows of our rooms where not very pleasant with a view on an AC machinery
The hotel is in the center of Heraklion and it's near the museum and all the restaurant of the old town with facilities to park the car. All is very clean and the room are comfortable with good bedding. The pool and the bar on the rooftop are nice.The breakfast is very good

The pool closed to early.

In room tea and coffee making needed real cups not paper and some milk Rather noisy air con which we turned off and let us sleep
We arrived late from the airport for just an overnight stay and had asked for a quiet room (much more spacious than we were expecting!) which we were given …nice spacious room and comfy bed… breakfast was better than the previous time we stayed with fresh fruit and plums available now

Really nice roof top. The staff helpful and friendly. Good location. Bus right outside takes you to Konnos and next door is the archeology museum which was fascinating

The room is great and the staff very nice. Also the continental breakfast was lovely! I didn't have time to use the rooftop pool but I would definitely stay here again.

Traffic noise around the hotel at nights. However, this is the question for the City government, not for the Hotel.
- Location is excellent, at the very heart of the downtown, all important bus lines (e.g. airport, Knosos, Ammoudara beach) are in the immediate vicinity of the hotel - breakfast great, various food was served (everyone could find something: meat lovers, vegies, children, lots of fruits...) although the menu could be expanded and repeated weekly - room was quite OK, just as expected, it was great value for the money - hotel staff: excellent, professional, always at service, willing to help for any questions
