The location in this lovely seaside village is excellent, near the harbour, several restaurants and shops including supermarket about 100 metres away. The apartment (junior suite) was spacious, clean and well-equipped. Julia was superb in always checking what we needed and in cleaning the apartment regularly and changing towels. Her attentiveness and kindness was above and beyond duty! Nice touches such as fruit and coffee made us feel very welcome.

Single beds are a bit uncomfortable and the toilet is rather small. The location is really nothing special, particularly in terms of beaches/sea. Ok only for a stopover, wouldn’t suggest long stays.

Nice traditional structure, right on a small port. The restaurant from same ownership is good. Apartments are ok, staff is nice.

The wifi could have been better

We had all we need for our 2 weeks stay in Crete. Perfect location, spacious, very kind staff, specially Giulia who made our stay even more pleasant. The hotel is very well situated half road between Heraklion and Chania which is convenient if you plan to explore the island. A lot of restaurant, market and even a massage saloon just within 20 meters. Fully recommend it.

Nothing to dislike

This is second time I have stayed at this lovely apartment within seven weeks. Everything you need and in a great location taverns and restaurants just outside the front door. Julia is such a lovely lady and keeps the property in a lovely condition so clean. Hopefully will be back one day

Excellent location overlooking the sea. Everything required in the village. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend it for a peaceful and enjoyable stay. The attached restaurant was excellent with friendly staff. Altogether a very enjoyable stay.

Apartment small but lovely, great location every thing you want on your doorstep. Julia who welcomed us is such a lovely woman and so helpful loved chatting to her, she made us so welcome.

Nothing, we liked everything.

Great location, overlooking the sea and close to the main beach of Panormos but also just a short walk to the other beach. Very close to all restaurants too but very quiet and peaceful. Perfect spot for a relaxing holiday, even in August.

The only, big window and room terracce opens to a public area between room and the big aisle window to the sea - we kept blinds open for the nice view and daylight, and people from the next apartment were walking by. We (a couple) liked the 3-level layout with stairs, but anyway had to be careful not to stumble, particulary at night, it could be not convenient for e.g.elderly.

The bed was somewhat soft for my likings, but that is a personal preference - I just enjoy firm mattresses more.

The staff at the Captain's House is extraordinarily caring and friendly to make sure you feel welcome. Beautiful little welcome treats in the room and amazingly smelling soaps add to that. I also appreciated the nice materials and decors used the room, which, in conjunction with stunning sea views, made my stay feel quite luxurious.

it was not as big/spacious as we expected from the photos, but overall it was ok

- the house and our apartment was always super clean - Julia was always there with a smile and cheerfulness to provide for all we asked for - the place was right above the beach - the house is very well maintained. It is evident that the owners do care about theor guests.

The location of Captain’s house is the best you can get, next to the beach in the city center. The quality of the service by the employees is outstanding.
