We made a last minute booking so views from the rooms were understandably not the best. For our final night we moved to 2 rooms that had fantastic views out over the sea from the balcony.

Staff were friendly & helpful. Rooms very comfortable & clean. Great location for accessing the climbing at Poets.

Very limited parking/had to leave car keys at front desk so cars could be moved The beach is very small/limited 10 euro beach towel deposit At times, not enough loungers/umbrellas for everyone (perhaps use some of the currently unused space between the lower level rooms snd the loungers/umbrellas?)

Only suggestions are better/perked coffee included in breakfast and more egg options (eggs cooked to order?) We had a great experience from our accommodation in Carian Hotel. The perfect view for enjoying our cocktail, the most relaxing moments in swimming pool area , the best massage in spa and really friendly staff. We will come back soon !

The guests can be a little noisier when they arrive late in their rooms so I guess it would be nice to at least suggest that after a specific hour it would be nice to say their farewells in front of the hotel if you are a cheerful person who can't control yourself.

The ladies from the receptions were very nice and helpful with our needs. Breakfast was great. The other personell were helpful and very polite.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location Staff are very friendly and helpful and the room was beautiful. The bar is set on a terrace overlooking the sea, with a gorgeous view across to Telendos, perfect for watching the sunset It's just a short walk into the main part of Masouri and there's also a small cafe / bar right next door

Organised everything we wanted we enjoyed a fabulous massage next door at Calliopes Spa and also some beauty treatments. The girls at the front Irene and the other were amazing Loved them. We had an amazing stay and are convinced this is the best hotel for any stay on the island! It provides top amenities, the breakfast is 10/10, the happy hour bad provides perfect cocktails, there is a private beach entry that is often quiet, and dont get us started on the view!

Carian Hotel is a recommendable place for a decent stay. Hotel is clean, staff is very friendly and attentive. Million of thanks to all of them who made our one night stay a paradise. The best place, I accomodated in Greek islands so far and it is a good reason to go to Kalymnos for visit. The hotel is far a way from the port but who cares when you consider the splended view of Telendos island.

There are a LOT of stairs and no elevator, so it's not necessarily a hotel for the mobility impaired. I had some mobility issues due to an accident (the cab in Cos took off when I was not yet seated and I had a torn ligament) but I was able to navigate the hotel anyway. The staff as very kind and helpful, and generally concerned for my well-being. I really have NO negative comments!

We visited Kalymnos for the first time 37 years ago. We had a limited budget, so we took a room with a local family in the port of Pothia. We were afraid that Kalymnos might have been destroyed by mass tourism as so many Greek islands, but it has not! Although the island has developed in those 37 years, it does not cater to mass tourism or the party crowds. Visitors are mostly Greeks from abroad returning for weddings, to see family and keep their children connected to their heritage and people who come for rock-climbing and hiking. Thank heavens that there are no sandy beaches to be had! This time we travelled more comfortably, to say the least. The Carian is a family-owned and run hotel, built directly on the ocean overlooking Telendos. It is decorated in a contemporary Greek, style using the best of Italian ceramics and other materials. The color scheme is white and sand, bright yet relaxing, with highlights in subtle shades of blue. The beds are VERY comfortable and the AC perfect. Housekeeping is stellar. We had a junior suite - spacious and comfortable with all the amenities one could wish for and a lovely terrace. Breakfast buffet is great, generous and varied, with lots of things made in the restaurant kitchen that change every day (spanakopita, tyropita, wraps, stuffed pitas, eggs, bacon, potatoes, salads and fruit, Greek yogurt, cereals, cakes, croissants etc.). The swimming pool is not immense but quite swimmable and well-maintained with a saltwater system. Lots of great sunbeds and umbrellas. There is also a tiny pebble beach one flight down from the pool for people who want to swim in the sea. The poolside snack bar serves good food and drinks. The hotel staff is wonderful: caring, efficient and helpful. When we stayed (late July) the clientele was overwhelmingly Greek from Australia (and the US) who had come "home" forfamily weddings. Here were also a few French, Italians and Danes. We will definitely come back!
