Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyNo negatives from our point of view. For some to consider however: During the time of our stay WiFi was not always working as issues with the internet provider plagued the area. We could find a working solution with Linda however. Keep in mind Casa dell'Aristea is placed in the middle of an old Venetian village, such that alleys are really narrow. As such, there are no parking spots available directly at the accomodation. There is a public parking available approx. 100m away, occasionally we had to drive to several places before finding a parking spot. In general it was no issue during our stay in October. All in all we couldn't have found a better place for our first and hopefully not last visit to Crete.
There is too much to tell about this place. Linda and her husband created a hidden gem in an old Venetian villa and filled it with life and a lot to discover. Everything is topped with the the warm-heartedness of Linda and her staff. Very good breakfast and particular good tipps on what to visit. For us it was among the most relaxing vacations we had in a long time. We definitely want to return here.

NetherlandsWe had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel. It is located in the authentic Greek village, with plenty of tavernas/ supermarkets in the area. The owner and staff of the hotel are honestly so lovely and attentive - it’s almost like staying at house of your aunt :) staying here was definitely the highlight of our trip so if you are considering this place - look no further!!

South AfricaWe arrived a day early and was accommodated within the blink of an eye! How happy we were to "accidently" get our dates wrong and get an extra day at this exquisite Villa. Attention to detail, hospitality that made our accommodation HOME. Just too much food! The variety was just just marvelous and we felt a little embarrassed that we could not even finish half the food. A must-experience, a must-see... the villa is magical, Linda is the most perfect hostess, we WILL tell everyone and we WILL have to save to go back to Crete but mostly to Casa dell' Aristia. Hats off to perfection! I did not like having to pack and leave!!! It could only get better if I could stay longer! lol

GreeceWould prefer if one's room bathroom was a bit bigger and the shower didn't have a curtain, but it was all very clean, so it wasn't much of a problem.
We booked 2 rooms since we are a family of 4. They were very clean and so nicely decorated! Breakfast was also marvellous, with fresh orange juice and a big fruit salad with a grand variety of summer fruits all cut into small pieces, ready to eat! Other staff as well, for all tastes. Linda and her family are very kind, hospitable and ready to help. We really enjoyed our stay, highly recommended!

JapanI felt bad that we couldn't finish most of the breakfast the host prepared for us. . .
The host was very honest and welcoming providing useful local information. The rooms were very clean with very nice, classic furnitures. The restaurant nearby in front of the church was also exceptional.
