Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceShould you have the good fortune to stay here you will be pleasantly surprised. It is well-appointed with very attractive decorations and is well located in the center of town. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent breakfasts were provided. Everyone’s cheerful and gracious service made our stay so very enjoyable and memorable. We so much appreciated all of the helpful and interesting information that they provided. It is a remarkable jewel of a boutique hotel and we will highly recommend it to all those we know. We regret having only stayed 4 nights.

United StatesJust our understanding of using the parking as our GPS location.
The staff was exceptionally helpful, recommending dining places, beaches to visit and local sights. The staff was fun and we enjoyed getting to know them and the family who owns the Casa. The rooms were cozy. Our room a JR suite was huge with a loft area. The area surrounding was fun and safe to walk with a large variety of eating establishments and shops. The one recommendation is to locate the parking poor to going as parking is a couple blocks away but still convenient. The parking sight allows a good navigational point while the hotel address is in the walking area of the old city.Loved it.

CanadaWe travelled to Rethymno in August with out two kids and had an amazing stay at Casa Moazzo!! This family-owned and run hotel is truly a gem. The staff were so incredibly warm and friendly and shared their knowledge and love of the town and local area with us - local great food spots, fun activities, wonderful beaches and even the history of Crete!! Our room was beautiful, clean and spacious. And the hotel offered a wonderful complementary breakfast in the lovely courtyard. We cannot wait to return soon!!

Romania- Breakfast is very tasty and with a local spin, but the options are relatively few and do not change across days - could become a bit repetitive during a longer stay
- Very comfortable, clean, and homely feel, reflected in everything from the room equipment (with super comfortable beds and showers), to the overall decor and beautiful garden - Incredibly kind and helpful staff, always ready to give a recommendation or a smile - Lady Ana and her team really make everyone feel welcome and at home - Excellent location, on a quiet street right at the edge of the old town, 2-3 minutes away from a reasonably priced paid parking where it is easy to find a spot and 15 minutes on foot from Rethymno beach - Many little extras that make the experience complete, e.g., provided beach towels, very comfortable bath robes, option to have breakfast prepared in advance for an early morning leave, etc.

That hotel was absolutly perfect. Location was prime. Parking was 4 minutes walk away at the most and 5 euros per 24 hours. (To be paid for a few days as soon as you park... then you can get in and out as you please) The owner and staff were so kind and made our experience there unbelievable. The room was spacious comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was fantastic and everyrhing was home made and fresh!! The location was prime next to a big church and close to everything beautiful (restaurants, sea, historical part of the city)

AustraliaAmazing boutique hotel in a great location in the old town area. We had a fabulous very large ground floor unit with a kitchen, lounge room, separate bedroom, full size bathroom and a private courtyard. The bathroom had a huge bathtub and also a separate shower. The building itself is so beautiful and historic, our kitchen had a old Venetian well in it covered with glass like you would find in a museum! All of the staff are just the best. Nothing is too much trouble they stay up so late welcoming guests at all hours. Breakfast is delicious, buffet style with omelettes/ eggs made fresh for you and great coffee. Anna and her team made us feel so welcome. We especially enjoyed our chats with Anna and her sharing with us some of the history of Crete.. Thanks so much, can't wait to return one day!
