This is of course outside of control, but street parking can be a challenge... Just be both assertive and patient as many will say and you will find something. The only other criticism I may have is the texture of the sheets are not my preferred since I run hot at night, but they were certainly good quality and others may like them better. Keep in mind though you of course also have an AC unit to use if needed.

Where to begin... Judi and her team were amazing from the start of our stay to the finish. We arrived around the Easter holiday (which we were not aware of prior to booking), and Judi was still very accommodating of our check-in timeline despite that. Casa Modiano itself is a beautiful place to stay, exactly as pictured. The ambiance is spectacular and the rooms are very clean, and include most everything you could need. It's nestled in a beautiful street, which if you arrange for gives you a wonderful ocean and thriving small street view. Included in our room was a breakfast at the equally beautiful restaurant Kalderimi with the food to match! We had the opportunity to chat with Judi during our breakfast to help make the most of our days in the area and she was a wealth of knowledge. Thank you a million times to Judi and her team for making this a stay in Chania to remember!

The people at the hotel were very kind and accommodating, even if we arrived earlier than the prearranged time. The rooms were spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Since the hotel is located in the picturesque old Chania town, everything in the Chania city center is within a walkable distance.

I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful newly opened 4-star design hotel in Chania. Giorgos, the owner, made my experience unforgettable with his kindness and willingness to assist. He welcomed me warmly and was ready to provide advice and assistance to make my stay perfect. I felt pampered and treated like a queen. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was delicious and served with care. The location in the heart of Chania was convenient for exploring the city. Overall, it was an extraordinary experience, and I can't wait to return to this 4-star design hotel. Thanks to Giorgos for making my stay so special. Furthermore, during my stay, Giorgos recommended dining at the Calderimi restaurant, which is just a few steps from the hotel and part of the same property. It was an outstanding recommendation! The food at Calderimi was truly delicious, and the service was impeccable. I had the opportunity to savor traditional Greek dishes made with fresh and high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and authentic, making the culinary experience even more memorable. So, I highly recommend all future guests of this beautiful design hotel to dine at Calderimi at least once to enjoy exquisite Greek cuisine and excellent service. It's a culinary experience you won't easily forget.

We loved everything! People should be aware that staff are not on site. There isn’t a reception area, but Judith came and let us in when we arrived, and showed us around. The lack of reception and staff permanently based there didnt make a difference to us but it may to some, so worth mentioning here.

Great location in the old town on a picturesque street which was relatively quieter than many other streets which meant we weren’t kept awake at night with noise. Also on the very edge of where cars are allowed which meant a very short walk from being dropped off. The room was excellently appointed and beautifully decorated. Judith was extremely helpful and an absolute pleasure to speak to. The breakfast was healthy, tasty and plentiful. We had a brilliant time and would really recommend Casa Modiano!

Wauw! Beautiful newly renovated rooms, superclean and located in a beautiful street in the Old Town (just on the side, so a lot quieter then the rest of the town). The owner, George, goes out of his way to ensure you have a lovely stay. He also owns the restaurant (Kalderimi) just across the street where you have breakfast in te morning. The staff here is lovely, sweet and help you with whatever you need. They also serve lunch and dinner, wich we had 2 times in the 3 days we stayed here because it was so good. So make sure you eat here at least once, you won't regret it! Casa Modiano = great place with great people. 100% recommend. Will come back here if we are ever in Chania again. Thank you George for a lovely stay.

Excellent location. In the old town and next to the harbour. Easy to walk everywhere and the beach is only 15 minutes walking distance. The owner made my stay formidable. Friendly service and always helping when needed. The hotel restaurant is also serving excellent food so it is a must to try. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were also amazing. The room is good and the hotel newly refurbished.

I can't fault Casa Modiano. It's a very charming and thoughtfully restored historic building.

Breakfast was excellent, service was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. It was served outside at a lovey pavement restaurant. There was a very good choice of freshly prepared local ingredients. A great start to the day exploring.

The toilet in the shower. Great space saver but inconvenient if you have to use the toilet after someone showers. The whole area is wet and you have to wear flip flops and wipe down the toilet because it’s wet from the shower. We had room number 1 and it’s better for a single person.

Great location in Old Town. Close to restaurants and shops. The same owner owns the restaurant a couple of places down and the breakfast was delicious and included in our room.

The property was lovely! Recently renovated with all comforts that a guest needs to enjoy their stay. Located in the centre of Chania old town and very close to all landmarks and cafes, bars and restaurants. Although it is very central, it is very quiet with some great places around.
