The position of hotel is comfortable, especially if you have a late or very early flight, you can get to the airport in 15 minutes. The stuff is incredibly hospitable and friendly. Highly recommend to have a dinner at the restaurant of the hotel - dishes are huge and delicious.

Breakfast with buffet table absolutely sufficient. Dinners were excelent. Starter as buffet table with salads, chees, vegetables. Cheff cooked very tasty. Portions were big, it was difficult to eat everything. And when you finished, you got dezert or fruits. Only drinks we had to pay separately. Receptionist arranged everything what we requested. We received a lot of good recommendations. She arranged us also trips with a travel agency. In addition it was chieper compare to internet price. Room De Luxe was nice, double bed was very comfortable, we engoyed stay. Staff was attentive and helpful. We were absolutely satisfied. Very good price-performance ratio.

The shower is a bit cramped.

The rooms were cleaned daily and the sheets and towels were changed every 3 days. Breakfast was diverse and tasty. Dinner was okay for the most part, depends on your tastes but there was something for everybody and the portions were big so chances are that you wouldn't leave dinner hungry. The hosts were very pleasant and the servers and receptionists spoke great English. The pool was also cleaned every day. If anyone likes kittens then you're in luck if you're coming soon because there are five small cats running around the yard.

The advertisement on the Booking.com is not accurate. The company ATTRACT tourists by showing modern rooms offered by Castro hotel on main panel of Booking.com. However once you arrive, you learn that the STANDARD room is NOT as per pictures with NEW bathrooms. In addition, the STANDARD room is in hotel IDEAL as per Google Maps (not: CASTRO) where the bathroom has very old facilities, e.g. hairdryer that needs definitely an update as can burn your hand (these machines were maybe available in 80's/90's?) The competition is high in that region, and therefore the bathrooms are NOT shown from STANDARD rooms ON PURPOSE, as you could get better offer elsewhere. The company shall split the advertisement per each hotel separately on Booking.com. Offer from CASTRO hotel shall be on its own, and the same for IDEAL hotel. NOTE: If you want to see other tourists who got cought the same way, please go to Google Maps and check the reviews from there. There are also detailed pictures, thus I am not repeating it again here.

Although the company falsely advertise, the manager was able to put us in the room as per pictures. However I lost my whole evening on clarifying this.

The swimming pool opening hour is too short, longer evening hour is recommended.

The complimentary breakfast is generous and well varied. There was also a 10% discount for eating at the hotel's own restaurant. Free luggage storage. The staff were helpful with information on local transport and the front desk helped with printing boarding passes and sending postcards. My room came with a balcony and was a 5 minute walk to the bus stop.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, great location and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Every staff member I encountered, from the check- in (Haris and Vangelis) to the restaurant staff (Stathis and Joanna) to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Thank you! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting this area. I specially recommend the deluxe rooms with a pool view!

The staff was very friendly at the reception and the restaurant. I had half board and the dinner was a 3 course menu (starter, main course and dessert) with a vegetarian option (to be booked at the reception) and I was also asked for food allergies. The food was Greek and very good. The hotel was as depicted on the pictures and all my expectations were met. I was also provided with acces to a shower room after check out so I could enjoy my last day with a late departure.

What I don't like is that time is passing too fast here.

I rate my stay in the hotel very positively, the more so because it is my fourth stay here. During the pandemic restrictions, it was possible to feel safe. Delicious cuisine, cleanliness in the rooms and, above all, friendly service are the advantages of this hotel. The bus stop to Heraklion right outside the hotel is also a great convenience. I highly recommend this hotel.
