How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Water wasn’t hot enough for our liking, it was luke warm. Cut off time for breakfast was far too early. We missed most of them!

When I read the reviews for this hotel I was concerned that maybe they were too good to be true. This isn't the case. The hotel is brilliant and the staff are excellent. The location is perfect for walking into the port or visiting the beach. The breakfast and restaurant are both great and the best selling point is the exceptional service.

When we were in our room you can hear the furniture being dragged along the floor, which was very noisy and echoey

Everything was perfect.
We loved absolutely everything about his hotel. All the staff went out of their way to make us feel very welcome. Appreciated the complimentary valet parking. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was stunning. Location was ideal - next to beach, short walk to city centre.

Nothing to dislike!
We loved this brand new hotel that’s a bit outside the main touristy old town but still right on the water! I’m the lobby and roof deck are gorgeous with amazing sunset views and everything here is brand new! Super high Tech features in every room and throughout! Staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful throughout the stay for our honeymoon! Definitely the only place I’d stay in Chania!

After ordering then receiving yoghurt for breakfast, invariably the next course of eggs & bacon or onelette arrived too soon. Some juggling of plates required to accept two dishes at the same time. Just need a little more time to elapse between courses.
Breakfast was good. A reasonable amount of hot & cold items to be chosen from the menu and prepared fresh. A bakery trolley is wheeled from table to table with lots to choose from. Dinner on the roof terrace was so good. . was delicious. Can definitely recommend the Truffle Risotto starter (one of the best risotto's I've ever had), the Sea Bass fillet mains and the Aged Beef Ribeye mains. All the staff, from Waiters/Waitresses, Receptionists and Housekeeping were very helpful and friendly.

Everything was perfect
The hotel is pretty new, convenient location. loved the spa and kudos to the therapist. the covered swimming pool was perfect because the weather was cloudy and the roof top has a nice view. Room had modern controls of light and curtains, very clean. Mini-fridge was re-filled everyday (water and sodas). Friendly and welcoming staff.

There was nothing about the hotel that we did not like. 
The hotel is a beautiful hotel. It’s very clean and the service is unbelievable. Also, it is close to the beach which was very important for us.

Hard to know where to begin. A great welcome with incredible friendly staff. Beautiful smart and clean hotel in every way. Wonderful rooftop restaurant and bar. Near the sea and loads of restaurants. I have added it to my list of favourite hotels. Highly recommended. I shall return.
