How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Toilet papers :)
We liked everything about Mastiki Colors. Firstly, the host, Angelica took care of everything about our trip, recommendations for lunch and dinner, daily programs for sightseeings were supplied by her daily, she was the best host I have met so far. The room was spacious, the location was perfect and the value for money is great. I would highly recommend Mastiki Colors for families especially with pets like us.

The best place I've stayed in a long time. Both the host and the staff were helpful and friendly. The decoration and ambiance were perfect and we had everything we needed. It is within walking distance of the port and in a central location. If I go to Xios again, I will stay at the same place without hesitation. 😌

Nice apartment with nice decoration, the location is very good, easy to reach the port, near to market and bus station, there is coffee and snacks available at the kichen, enjoyed to sit at the small balcony. I will exactly choose this place next time. Kind and helpful owner.

This was a great stay and Angelika is a very nice lady taking care of everything in a very short time. She even helped me to rent a motorbike in a very busy period as there were no availability in the online websites. We stayed in 2 different rooms and both of them were very spacious, comfortable, clean and cozy. We felt like at home. The furniture, TV, kitchen, bathroom were all perfect. Location is also very good. We are highly recommending this cute hotel to everyone. Dear Angelika, thanks again for your very warm hospitality !

Everythıng was perfect
anjelikkkkkk😍 the best host i have ever seen😘 we loved her, everytime smily, helpful, you only kindly ask her where to go, she replies you the answer with' you have a rezarvation from there' , you ask can i hire a car? she says in 10 minutes you can come to take your car😚 , the room was very tidy and clean, it has a lovely balcoony, the bathromm was fantastic and you have eveythıng shampoo, paper, slipper, soap, in the fridge there is an unpack chocolate:) if i go to chios secınd time , %100 sure i will stay at her place, she also shares the all good clubs beache restaurants, routeplan to visit the city:) before u come she reaches you and shared the exact location🙏👏👏 and it is at the center of the city, from port to house it is 8/9 minutes on foot.

Bath tube might be a little tidy for tall people. The balcony does not have a seaside view, but believe me, you would not want to spend your nights at the balcony in the island.
Perfect location. A very quiet street in a very central location and you can both enjoy the silence and join the most vivid streets and fancy bars of the island by two minutes walk. House owner Angelika is the definition of the perfect balance between the need for privacy and support. You can immediately hear from her when you are in need, and never hear from her when not needed. The room was small but felt spacious thanks to the inner design. Had everything needed and was absolutely comfortable. It was also very clean and had a nice decoration. Includes a tiny balcony for those who might enjoy smoking. You can find a variety of beaches for any kind of taste around the island. The islanders were quite warm, halpful and trustworthy. There are also a couple of wonderful museums and historical villages to visit besides the beaches.

Bath water is heated by solar energy. I learned this a little late. But everything else was very good.
the room was very clean and Kali and Angelica were very hospitable. They were very helpful regarding car rental. Everything was perfect . I am sure that I will choose it for my next trip as well.
