How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bathroom and shower is small.
Good location for a stay in Gennadi. Very close to beach and village center with a bakery, food market and good tavernas. Apartments had a good bed, good kitchen and terrace. Very friendly and responsive staff.

Nothing. It has everything I needed. I didn’t cook there as a big part of my holiday is eating out.
Excellent location. Close to everything in the village, a short 5 min walk. Close to a lovely quiet beach with very good tavernas. Wasn’t charged for the sun bed. Gennadi was a lovely village. Lots of tavernas, bars and a wonderful bakery. Apartment was very clean, quiet and excellent value for money. I felt really comfortable there on my own and would definitely stay there again as a base to explore Rhodes.

Clean, spacious rooms, attentive staff and Kostas, the owner was super kind and helpful. There are amazing restaurants and bars in the village, supermarket, bakery, everything you need for a longer stay. Reasonable driving distance to Prasonisi. Recommend it to everyone!

To make it perfect, I would add a little more kitchen equipment - mokka pot (or a small coffee maker) and some storage in the bathroom.
Very nice staff, spacious apartment cleaned daily, comfy bed. Very good value for money.

I would say that bathroom was a weak point here - tiny shower with shower curtain that was too short to reach floor. Effect - half of the floor was wet. Although I need to admit that shower curtain (which I personally hate) was super clean.
Amazing owner and staff. Quite place where you can rest, where by foot you can reach in 2-3 minutes restaurants and up to 10 minutes to the beach. For cat lovers - many in the area, but if you are allergic there's no need to worry. I had great time and rest - you can really enjoy your stay here.

Hotel owner was so so friendly and helpful. Went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as pleasant as possible..Fantastic location,spotless rooms,amazing value for money. Less than 5 minutes stroll from hotel to Gennadi village then another 5 minutes walk from village to the beach would definitely recommend.

The mattress should be better and more confortable for sleeping. In addition better pillows should be provided. The kitchen equipement should be improved. The aircondition had a fixed temperature setup and could not be adapted.. These are just minir things that can be easily improved.
Simple and functional rooms. The price / performance is excellent. The largest village street with the tavernas, bakery and supermarket are very close, in walking distance. Parking is available in front of the building.

Nothing to complain about.
Cannot understand people, who put negative comments. Owners and staff are very very nice and helpful. Hotel is not five star, although room was redecorated, clean and well equipped. Gennadi is also very nice village, not crowded, with calm beach and some authentic taverns. Highly recommended.

The parking space in front of the hotel wasn't too big. I had no issue in May, but it may be a problem in high season. I could have used a cloth dryer rope on the balcony.
The location was fine for me as I used my rented car to go to Prassonissi every day. Also acropolis of Lindos wasn't very far. Otherwise nice clean room, friendly staff. I had a pleasant experience. The center of Gennadi was close enough to walk to shops & restaurants.
