How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The location is not safe. There were so many homeless that they were even sitting at the entrance door.
Staff on the first day who helped us with luggage storage was really nice, gave us useful reminders, but the one on the 2nd/3rd day was only ok. Breakfast was really simple, but I like the croissant.

Body soap is not good. The hair conditioner and shampoo is too bad. With that amount the person cannot bathe well. The mattresses are very soft.
The location is very good because it is close to all the tourist places in Athens.

The system for breakfast reminded us of staying at a dormitory. A lady came in the morning and woke everyone in the apartment up. She was very nice, just too loud. With our breakfast we also got 2 boiled eggs which have gone bad, smelled awful. The sandwich and croissant were okay.
The apartment was nice and had every equipment we needed. The check-in process is very simple and explained well beforehand. The balcony is spacious. The room and bathroom looked like on the pictures.

The area it is in is not the best. I knew this before coming since i read the reviews but there are junkies on the streets around the building. However this is not the fault of the hotel and this seems to be an issue in all of Athens in general. We also never had any issues and they seem to ignore you but definitely made us a little uncomfortable. But I think no matter where in Athens you stay this might be an issue
It was in the city centre, close to lots of things. The free breakfast and sandwiches for lunch was great and it was delivered to your room. They knock on your door around 8:30 am but if that is too early you are provided with a sign to hang if you don’t want to be woken up. Clean room.

It stayed there in march when nights are cooler and the thicker bed linen was not fresh. It made the stay unpleasant.

The location is in a not so safe neighborhood, but the owner is not to blame for that. There are suspicious people, homeless people, drug addicts, so it was not pleasant during the night to move.
Good and clean room. Good connection of the location with the rest of Athens.

I didn’t like the location of this property (Omonia) many junkies and drug dealers around in this area but I feel safe in this property and security system was good I was extra careful to make sure the entrance door gets closed then I left .this area Omonia is a lot of junkies everywhere but police station just the next block
This property is very nice clean even the aria 5 minutes walk to metro many restaurants and shops around.i like this hotel and their way of service.

Affordable price close to the center of the city. 10 minutes away from the Parliament. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. For one day it was perfect.

The room does not have a kettle or water. No desk. The view from the room is the neighbors so you cannot really open the curtains without becoming a show. Breakfast is way too minimal, and it's served at one time only about 8.30 to the room. Better let people pick it up themselves, than wake them up so early, especially on the weekend, it is not comfortable and can be easily changed.
The location is good since it is close to 2 metro station. The street itself is a little gloomy. Easy to find, nice café in the morning. Room is clean. Shower is nice. A small fridge.

Room was very congested so that hard to open the wardrobe. Less room for storage.
Easily accessible and they sent the password for the property to get inside in advance. If you are looking for a budget property go for this. But if someone looking for a comfortable place with lots of space, this place is not for you

We were told from the tube it is 2 minute walk to the place, but no - much longer. No all tourists have roaming, so was a bit of a search. We arrived at 1, and they still refused entry. We just sat on the floor and waited. Breakfast just dumped on plate and given. Reading it had a verandah was great news, but the view was terrible. Would stay there again, but expectation will be less.
All was clean and neat. I like the smart key control so just had to remember codes.
