Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe beds were soft mattresses which we find to be more on the uncomfortable side and the pools were cold enough that we couldn't spend long periods of time in them but that also didn't seem to bother everyone so personal tolerance!
The hotel was well catered for families and we loved the variety of facilities - different pools, aqua park, games etc. One a la carte option included in all inclusive rate was lovely but the food generally was good and a good selection to choose from. Rooms were clean and well set up and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff and the kids entertainers worked so hard but remained so polite and upbeat respectively!

LithuaniaSoundproofing is not great. Not terrible, but if you are a light sleeper, it may be distracting. At night we could hear wind howling in the alley outside (it was a windy week). It rained one night. In the morning there was a small puddle of water inside the room, next to the exterior door. Long term parking is a gravel lot with dust devils dancing in the wind and not always easy to find a free spot. Naturally, as it is a big hotel, there are crowds of people. The restaurant areas are particularly busy and noisy during meal times. Sun bed wars are in full swing (people place towels on sun beds and leave), so not always possible to find a sunbed on the beach or next to the pools. It was quite windy, so the waves were a bit high. Probably as a result of that, the water in the beach was quite murky. Lots of fun bobbing on the waves, but not so good for diving. We were definitely spoiled by driving around Crete and seeing all the amazing views that there are on this island. Relative to that, the hotel is in a rather plain, not picturesque location. Don't get me wrong - it's OK. But there are so many stunning views on the island and this location pales in comparison to some of those.
A lot of stuff to do here. You can stay occupied for a week without even leaving the complex. Gym, tennis and basketball courts, beach, multiple pools, kids area, numerous different restaurants, amphitheater, water park, etc. Everything is nice, runs well. We really liked the evening shows for the kids in the amphitheater, the staff there are doing a good job. The food selection is very broad. I did not manage to sample everything in the four days that we were staying there. But I liked everything I tried - the food is universally delicious. All inclusive is pretty good. All you can eat buffet in multiple restaurants (breakfast, lunch and dinner), plus drinks at the beach bar and probably more stuff that I did not even try. There is a nice beach on the premise with sand and some rocks to shield it from the waves of the open sea (it was very useful as we were staying during a windy week). There is a lifeguard on duty during the day. The staff are helpful and polite. The rooms are clean and tidy.

FranceThe main place to eat (buffet) breakfast, lunch and diner (extremly noisy, dress code not much respected).
Nice place, lovely staff who made their very best from earlier morning to late evening, very clean, direct acces to sea. Perfect restaurant close to sea side.

SwedenOnly complaint is that the gym should have been more up to date. Very few weights, broken equipment. Many children playing with the equipment - you should have an agelimit in the gym.
Really nice and serviceminded staff - 10 out of 10! Great food!

FranceThe food was Excellent. Great taste and freshness (higher quality compared to other all-inclusive hotels we have visited in the past). Note that the hotel was almost full. However, the food quality was impressive. The personnel, especially the waitresses and the cleaners, were very polite. They made us feel the original Cretan hospitality and were always smiling. Finally, we would like to mention that in our arrival they made a mistake in our room (wrong type). Instead of feeling bad that we did not get what we expected, we decided to inform the hotel. The Operation Manager, Mr. Manolis S. listened to us, immediately took measures and fixed the issue in the most appropriate way. We greatly appreciated and valued his interest to ensure that we would receive the expected quality of service. A BIG thank you!

United KingdomSlightly disappointed that for a 5 star hotel the water bottles are not provided each day, and room service offered only at the extra price. We booked our stay to coincide with the hotel opening for the season so some of the services / facilities were not set up in at the beginning (sauna, steam room).
Very warm welcome - the staff were very friendly and hospitable especially Ina the bartender that made our stay so pleasant each day ! Sleep was great , rooms clean and tidy ! Great experience with celebrating my birthday, well wishes received with cake and champagne! The sunbeds are very comfortable with bar near by Overall place offers convenience what you need to relax ! Very nice service when we did book into specific restaurants for evening diners.

United KingdomNothing big really. The bathroom was a bit dated and the bath plug didn't work but it was clean and functional.
From the moment we arrived, we were incredibly well looked after. The staff were all so kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Everything we needed was inside the hotel complex and we all managed to relax despite having a 3 year old with us. The beach, multiple pools, playground, baby area, waterpark and bars/restaurants kept us busy and entertained and what a beautiful view across the bay! Everything was clean and well maintained and the food was plentiful and tasty. I'd never gone all inclusive before and was pleasantly surprised by the range and quantity of food and drink on offer. We'd definitely come again as it was so convenient with small children.

United KingdomHas the feel of a 5 star that is beautiful in places but some bits have become a little worn. Some bits a little tired - broken sunbeds, chipped furniture but far from a deal breaker for a nice holiday. Meal times in the main restaurant a little too busy for us!
Service from all staff was excellent. Aqua Park was fun. Size of resort was just right. Liked village feel. Greek restaurant and taverna were lovely.

GermanyToo many people lying too close to each other. From good hotels in that class (of costs) I am used to get more space to separate from each other and find spare sunbeds during the whole day. I would suggest that every 1-2 hours hotel stuff should collect all towels and personal stuff from sunbeds which are not used for an hour. Would lead to much less sunbeds needed at all and one could use a sunbed when they need one. Music at the pools and restaurants - 10 songs from this summer's hit playlist on repeat - can be a pain after 2 days. 2 things missing for a perfect buffet in the morning: Real Nutella and fresh juices - apart from that the buffet gave enough choices for a week.
Great Location. Clean. Friendly staff. Great variance of the buffet although missing some things which make a buffet great (e.g. real Nutella, real fresh juice) but knowing other buffets that is critic on a high level.

IrelandCertain nationalities reserved all sun beds by pool by 7.30am the hotel should enforce a no reservation policy as many towels left on beds half the day and not used, some clients held beds on both the beach and pool all day very unfair. The BBQ by beach was disappointing. Some evening entertainment wasn’t really family oriented at all. While branded spirits on show at the bar the staff used cheap u branded spirits making cocktails which tasted cheap and poor. The wine also was very hit and miss. For the price the quality was lacking.
Lots of pools and buffet ok.

SlovakiaAquapark was a bit of a disappointment for us - there is very little shade and a lot of paved area around, so it's get really hot in the summer sun. The pool around the slides is just 20cm deep, so there is no possibility to play in the water and swim, you can only do slides, which gets boring quickly. It would be also nice to have more slides for little kids, since our 4 year old daughter was too scared to go on the big slides - they are more suited to older children. Hotel uses whatsapp messages for concierge, but they were not answering our request very promptly, sometimes it took couple of hours to receive an answer, so I would walk to the reception in person instead or use the room phone to call them. I think they should either have someone to be really available on whatsapp, or remove the option completely.
Grecotel Marine Palace is split into two areas separated by the road. At first we were "upgraded" to the uphill part called "Casa Marina" which is recently renovated and the room was really nice, however, all the hotel amenities - restaurant, pools, beach are located in the downhill part closer to the sea. That's why we requested the room to be changed, since we didn't like the idea of walking with two kids up and down on the road all the time. Staff was really helpful and next day we had a room in "Marina Bay" building, which is located just between the main building and the beach which was a lot more convenient for us. We really enjoyed Blue Taverna breakfast. You need a reservation, but it was really easy to do with concierge app.
