Great view, very clean

Nothing really. Only a small point the towels although fresh and clean were really stiff. Did'nt see any staff other than when I checked in at any point during my stay,or another guest. Bar and restaurant not open or even set up. This did'nt bother me as I always eat out.

Very large room with private balcony. Very clean and everything I needed in the room, with a huge bed. Excellent value for money. I think everwhere was very recently painted. Bright, fresh room.

Beach in front of hotel is ok, but not my type of beach.. I had a rental car, so why not use this :) I guess that one rooms are not so big if for example you have one kid (for three persons you get only one room) but if you want four person room you get two connected rooms which is great.

Location is ok, FANTASTIC view.. comfortable beds. We had two connected rooms with two balconies. At the time of my stay, it was pretty empty there.. Cleanliness is excellent and towels and sheets are changed regularly.

No faults. A suggestion would be to have a couple of large mugs and glasses in the bedrooms for guests to make drinks. We only found two small tea cups The shower room could possibly do with an up grade. The staff were very helpful but had very limited English. Maybe putting an information sheet in the rooms may help that problem.

Ideal location,lovely balcony with a sea view. Everything was informal and homely. The staff were helpful.Breakfast was simple Greek but delicious.

Great place in a fantastic quiet location. Crete Mare is almost at the far end of Plakias but is only a couple of minutes walk to the main street along the sea front. The room was lovely with a great view out over the sea and breakfast was excellent. We'd definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location overlooking the sea with great sun terrace and unforgettable sunsets. By far, my most comfortable and luxurious room in Crete. Beach in front, tavernas, cafes, etc all closeby. Breakfast area and terrace and extremely friendly hosts.

On the balcony it was a really bad smell. Probably from the drain or something, but you cannot sit there and relax.

The hotel is in perfect location in the Lovely town of plakias. Located minuets away from the center but just far out enough to have more peace and quiet. The beach in front of the hotel is wonderful

The hotel owner and staff are very nice and welcoming. The room is lovely and the balcony in front of the sea is fantastic i could sit there for hours. The bed is very comfortable too.

The wifi could perhaps be a little stronger.

I stayed at Crete Mare probably about 20 total nights between my visits to plakias in 2021 and 2022. The rooms are very clean, the showers are a little bigger than most in crete and have glass enclosures that prevent the whole bathroom from getting wet. The option for a queen bed is nice, especially because it’s an actual queen bed and not two doubles stacked next to each other. The bed was very comfortable. The service is super friendly. The location is nice, with a calm beach right in front cause the water is protected by rocks to slow the sometimes wind-blown sea. The view tops everything off though. Beautiful views from every room, and close enough to hear the ocean at night. I can’t speak for the breakfast, because I usually didn’t get up early enough for it, but the breakfast next-door at nikos on the rocks serves breakfast all day, and is very good. One other benefit is that nikos bar (next door) stays open later than most other bars in plakias (if your into that, which I was). Service at nikos is also excellent.

I have nothing to complain about ,everything exceeded my expectations.

Very good to amazing. Great location within 2-3 min walk to city centre ,amazing view with just 30sec walk to the beach, free sun beds. Large beedroom , large balcony, very very clean bathrooms, far better then all the other 3 and 4 Stars Hotels that I’ve seen and stayed so far until now . All the Hotel was immaculate , exceeded all my expectations. Anna and Ioana are doing exceptional work keeping the Hotel extremely clean and tidy, I have only respect for them . My entire staying was so nice and I am looking forward to go back as soon as possible, thank you so much Creta Mare Hotel for making my staying and holliday an absolutely gorgeous.

Nothing to complain. Everything was perfect!

We just returned after 12 days stay at Creta Mare Hotel, what a fabulous place. The room was clean and comfortable and the view from balcony is amazing. Location is a very short walk to main restaurants round harbour and the large sandy beach. Ioana and Ana keep the hotel spotlessly clean and look after us very well. The location of this small hotel is just perfect. All rooms have sea view and the sea is just across the road. The hotel has sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach which are free for guests. Plakias is perfect for a relaxing holiday and the Creta Mare is in a beautiful peaceful location where you can even spend the day on the balcony if you wish just looking out to sea. We will certainly be back. Thank you Georgios, Ioana and Ana for our lovely stay at your beautiful hotel. 🙏🥰

The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The hotel is opposite a beautiful beach & close to many excellent tavernas. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are cleaned daily to a good standard.

We were unlucky with the weather, it was very windy.

We were greeted by a very friendly lady, who made our stay enjoyable from the start. Always smiling and helpful, the best service possible! Cleaning and fresh towels provided every day. Very good breakfast, loads of variety.
