The bathroom: small, old and wet (after a shower)

Everything worked as it supposed too and the room was exactly what I asked for. the host must like what he does, as there was everywhere attention to detail, for example the mosquito net was good and expensive, not the one you usually get with holes everywhere and ready to snap, or there was a boiler for water, which most hotels with self catering provide, but there was also a small cafetiere, which most hotels do not offer. Also, excellent value for money.

There was a drain smell coming from the bathroom which was confined to it when keeping its door closed. It could be a general issue of the area.

Very friendly and helpful host, waited patiently for my arrival almost at midnight, and was still positive and genuinely smiling. He offered great tips for the beaches around the area. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. It was quiet enough to get a good sleep, the road just outside the property quiets down after midnight or so. The mosquito net on the balcony door is very convenient! I was able to sleep with the balcony wide open and enjoy the natural night breeze - even on a hot day, the nights may be cool enough to avoid using a/c. Good location, easy to find, away from the commotion of the city but at a close proximity to it.

Amazing views of the mountains. Arrived close to sunset and really enjoyed the view from the balcony. Nice big room with a kitchenette.

The host which was very helpful and gave tips upon arrival. Ideal accomodation only if you have a car, otherwise it would be a long walk up from Agia Gallini =)

The shower cabin was very small. And when you are on foot the walk uphill is somewhat challenging.

The owner was very nice and helpfull. And price quality ratio is great. Also the view is very nice.

The owner was very helpful and kind. He came and picked us up at our previous hotel and drove us about an hour to get to our accommodation. The hotel is in the middle of an olive plantation. Our apartment has a balcony overlooking the beautiful surrounding mountains.

The room looks much better, cleaner, more equipped in reality than in the photos. The room is very clean. Toilet is a bit small but the room attracts the wind therefore the floor drying out very quick. The balcony is large and very chilling. There was no swimming pool, we don’t need this. But there was one large Olives garden behind the building. The room is very quiet except for the small noise from the bathroom of the room next door. We really appreciate that the place has the toaster to make our toast. Location is perfectly good for the trip to Matala, Elafonissi, Shinaria (Skinaria). It’s about 56 mins driving to Palm beach or Skinaria beach - our most favourite beach in Crete where you can snorkelling and less tourists.

The first thing we noticed while arriving to the property was that there was enough parking space for everyone staying at Creta Star Apartments. The apartment itself was spacious enough, beds were comfortable and clean just like everything else. We loved the view from our balcony which included mountains and the sea so we went upstairs to the terrace and let the view take our breath away. We also took some pictures of the scenery. But the cherry on top was the host himself. Many hosts are nice just because they kind of have to be but not Georgios. You could tell he has a big and honest heart. He gave us some tips for our travel (places to see, beaches to visit) and was ready to help no matter the hour. And we respect that a lot. We would recommend this property. It’s not the closest to the beach, but it has so many other benefits.
