Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungarySome may find the room interior more shabby than vintage. In my room the doorknob, the electricity card slot and the fridge were worn-out. The mattress is okay but definitely not the most comfortable one. The breakfast was the same narrow range every morning (bread, boiled eggs, 1 type of cheese and cold cut, 2 cereals, yoghurt, jam, honey and biscuits).
The rooms which look out onto the sea offer a breathtaking view, so I strongly recommend to book this type. In my opinion the rooms are vintage. They are clean, equipped with A/C, fridge and shutter. The pool seemed to be well maintained (I didn't use it tho). The breakfast was always fresh. The staff is kind and helpful. Nice restaurants are within reach, and there is a good cafe just in couple of meters up the street. The closest beach (Armenistis Beach) is in 10-15 mins walk.

Poland- Wi-fi is bad, very often it doesn’t work - hotel doesn’t have 24h reception, however somebody from the facility can be reached by the phone easily - entry is very steep, this might be an issue for people with disabilities - interior is a bit worn-out, but as mentioned before, hotel is very clean and generally well maintained
view was amazing! hotel is just on the sea shore and you can fall asleep listening to sound of waves - wonderful view of sunset - great location, 5 mins walk to ATM, coffee shop, supermarket, local beach - lovely and helpful staff - very comfortable pool with sun beds and sea water - modest but good quality breakfast that can be enjoyed on the terrace facing the sea view - daily room cleaning and frequent bed sheets changes - genuine Ikarian relaxed atmosphere that made us prolong our stay there - the hotel doesn’t pretend something it is not, you pay for what you get

United KingdomOne thing to mention is there is a steep slope from the road down to the hotel entrance. This is fine if you are able bodied but if you have mobility issues something to consider. I found it a struggle pulling my suitcase up to the road for the taxi to take me to the port. There weren't a lot of staff around during the day and nobody to help me get my luggage up to the road.
The Daidalos was in a great location for my stay in Armenistis - not to far from the gorgeous beaches and also the taverna's. I had a fantastic sea view room where you can hear the waves crashing on the rocks below - it is so soothing and great for helping you get to sleep. The rooms was nice and bright and nicely decorated and was serviced every day. I didn't use the pool as the beaches were so nice but it looked lovely. Breakfast at the hotel was very good with a brilliant selection of produce. It is the end of the season with not many people staying at the hotel but breakfast was still prepared for us and didn't seem to skimp on food. The hotel has a lovely terrace to sit at overlooking the sea and nice bar area which wasn't open due to there being only a few guests but not a problem. If you're not driving it is 20€ from the port to the hotel.

CanadaSadly the hotel was clearly not ready for business and should not have accepted our reservation. There was no hot water, and no breakfast which we paid for. Everything was closed up. We couldn’t even go outside on the main balcony as all the doors of the hotel were locked apart from the front door. The person managing the hotel kept themselves in their room. Basically it was only us and that person in the hotel and at night while in our bed (which was rock hard) you could hear their television blasting. No breakfast but someone’s personal items laying around as if they were living their.
We liked the location and appreciated we had a roof over our head but unfortunately the hotel was basically closed down when we showed up. The person at the front desk was not able to communicate properly and left us a note with a key. We showed ourselves to a cold room with no heat.

United KingdomMaybe the breakfast could be slightly more varied and sometimes if you arrive late some stuff is no longer available, A minor issue but considering that the hotel is one of the most expensive accommodations in Armenistis, maybe worth looking at.
The hotel is in a great location and the sea view is stunning. The pool is a lovely bonus even though I would mostly go to one of the many beaches - but used it twice and it's always clean and comfy. The staff is great, we did have a problem with our room but they swiftly offered to move to another room where everything was fine.

The staff was exceptionally friendly & very helpful! From the moment we checked in, they made you feel welcome & answered any questions we had. The view was gorgeous & the property itself was quaint & cozy. We felt relaxed right away. The pool is a lovely place to spend a lazy afternoon reading while enjoying a glass of wine.

First of all, the staff and location were sensational. Second to none! We wanted to have an Ikarian adventure and Maria, Alexandra and the rest of the staff were always on hand to point us in the right direction of the best beaches and hidden gems of sweet Icuras' resting isle. We were upgraded to a sea view room with breathtaking views and the breakfast was bountiful (with plentiful avga). Would definitely recommend and stay here again! KALO CHIMONA!
