Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWhat is not to like?
Perfect, loved the Delfini and the island Situated on the harbour, 50 metres (yards) from the ferry terminal. The best location. The room looked over the harbour. In addition the lounge area available to all guests overlooked the harbour. Walked bare footed to the swimming cliff area near Omilos Restaurant (the perfect lunch). Be aware once off the harbour side the pathways are steep and unforgiving (more than 50 metres from the harbour side) I walked to the Prophet Elias Monastery [not far on the map] but 600 metres above the harbour (a 2 hour climb for someone who walks 20km (14 miles).a day regularly.

GreeceThe Hotel location is excellent, situated in the port of Hydra and next to the ferry. We had a large family room which was perfect for a two night stay. The room was comfortable, clean and very good value for money. The hotel staff were also very helpful and views across the harbour from the hotel terrace, are splendid.

United StatesBe sure to take your own power strip. The hotel rooms are not equipped for multiple outlets to charge your electronics. I have a European adapter with three USB outlets, two regular plugs and a USB-C outlet and this worked fine once I unplugged the bedside lamp.
Hotel was right in the center of the downtown waterfront in Hydra. Just a few steps from the ferry to the door. Cute little terrace in the room overlooking the port/waterfront. The host was helpful and jovial. So fun to watch the beautiful yachts come and go. Lots of people during the day with lots of one-day tourists. The evenings were quiet when the majority of the ferry tours leave. Lots of restaurants and shops. Nice walking path to other parts of the island on the waterfront. No cars on the island; luggage and supplies are carried up hill by the mules. The room was nice but kinda small. Not much room to put your suitcase. Bed was comfy. The bathroom is newly remodeled with nice marble and new fixtures. Plenty of water pressure for a good shower. There are several stairs to get up to the main reception area and then several more stairs up and then a couple down and then a few more up to get to the rooms. The hotel is built on a hillside hence the variety in stairs. If you have mobility issues and difficulty with stairs this nice little hotel isn't for you. There's a central refreshment room with juice, coffee and water available all the time but no breakfast is served. There's a great bakery just a few doors down with fantastic foods, sandwiches, pastries, etc. There's plenty of other restaurants that serve breakfast right out the front door. Would stay again.

United KingdomThe room description on Booking.com states that there are tea and coffee facilities in the rooms- this is not the case. No facilities in room due to the coffee lounge, however this doesn't open till (am and closes at 11pm so you cannot have an early coffee before 9am. Some of the rooms are traditional older rooms and some are recently built/modernised. I was in room 3 - twin room with sea view- which was older style. The shower had no wall fixing for the head, only a hand held small shower head, similar to one you would attach to bath taps., so I could not stand under the shower and had to turn it on and off to be able to soap my body and shampoo my hair. The shower tray was shallow so the water flooded into the bathroom wetting the floor and the bath mat, the shower curtain was fabric rather than hard plastic screens so when it was wet it would stick to you while sitting on the toilet! When I tried to discuss these two matters with owner/Manager (Georgos) - requesting a kettle in room or access to lounge before 9am - he laughed and said he had never had any complaints about these two issues before, that I could get a coffee from the cafes that opened at 6am and that if I wasn't happy I could stay in another hotel! He also told me that the rooms would be priced around 200 euros next year. I probably wouldn't book to stay here again, which is a shame as the vibe was nice and the location superb. I am no stranger to traditional Greek accommodation but paying 130 euros each night for a room for ONE person with NO breakfast I expected a little more than I would have in cheaper accommodation; it would have been nice to have been able to have a coffee in the morning and a proper shower.
The location and view were unbeatable, that's why I booked a sea view room at the front, although this could be noisy for some people with the early morning ferries and donkeys. Right where the ferry comes in so no long walk with luggage, although an internal set of stairs to climb to reach the reception area. The communal lounge and terrace are great giving you fantastic views over the harbour even if you don't have a sea front room. Kettle and coffee machine provided with fruit juice, water and milk, cups and glasses and even a corkscrew to open your wine, all free of charge. Very nice to sit out for sundowners although the aircon vents are on the terrace. Room clean, bed comfy and sheets and towels changed regularly, bins emptied every day. Air con works well and full size fridge provided. Hairdryer provided and good amount of hangers and storage space, although no safe provided for passport or valuables, but this is maybe not so common in Greece. Plenty of towel rails/hooks and shelf in bathroom for toiletries. Beach towels provided Plenty of hot water

AustraliaSeparate beds pushed together with a gap not comfortable. Small size room without views (so communal balcony was a popular spot to be when not in room)
Communal room with balcony overlooking the Harbour with coffee machine and tea facilities. The location was perfect right in front of ferry drop off which was a bonus because there’s no cars on island only donkeys and horses.

United KingdomThe only negative was the bathroom bin had not been emptied after the previous guests! No facilities for breakfast, but plenty of choices in nearby cafes etc
This is a simple, but charming traditional style hotel, in an excellent position right by the harbour, very close to the ferry terminal, and very convenient for cafes, bars and tavernas. Although small, the room had everything you needed for a comfortable night. The gentleman on reception was welcoming and helpful.

Unbelievable location, just ten metres from the ferry and in the heart of beautiful Idra harbour, the bars, the restaurants, etc. the room was spacious, clean and quiet with outstanding aircon. The staff were helpful and friendly. Wifi was strong. We sat on the balcony in the evening drinking Mamos and watching the sunset … fantastic. We loved this place and it is outstanding value.

United StatesIt was a particularly hot day and the A/C was not strong enough so the temperature of the room was a challenge. I left the window open which helped. It was a single, very tiny room with a very tiny shower but if all you need it for is to sleep (like me) then all good.
I loved the location from the ferry docking --you can't beat 20 feet. I was greeted by the owner who was friendly and helpful!

United StatesModest, but comfortable hotel right in the center of the port. Great access to the city, ferries and seasonal festivals . Small, but comfortable room. Hotel had a charming balcony overlooking the port was lovely for coffee in the morning (and throughout the day), but did not offer breakfast options. However there was a fabulous bakery next door where you could get both sweet and savory breakfast treats to go with the host provided coffee and fruit juices. The charming property proprietor was helpful and accommodating and made several helpful recommendations for restaurants and local beaches. I live in a big city, so the loudness of the busy port below did not bother me, but if you are looking for a quieter option in the port center, I would advise requesting a room n the back section of the hotel.

United StatesGiven our need for a family room, I did not expect a room with a view.
The location was excellent, especially if one wants to be right near the port as opposed to uphill. And especially if one is leaving early in the morning on the first boat out. Close to all of the restaurants and harbor walk. Just wonderful. We enjoyed the "cement beaches" just outside of town.
