Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

North MacedoniaThe place is a real hidden gem. Well organized hotel with beautiful gardens and a lot of flowers. The bungalows are spacious, clean and well equipped. We had half board and the food was delicious. All the gratitude for the hospitality and do not hesitate to book Dimitra beach hotel for your next vacation.

IrelandNothing that we didn’t like. Maybe ramps for pram/wheelchair could be a nice thing to do in the future.
The property is located at the far end of island Kos , it’s peaceful ( bare in mind we stayed there end of the season in Oct ) our suite was spacious and cleaned daily by wonderful housekeeping staff. Everyone was above and beyond friendly and nice to our family. Staff at the restaurants lead by George was incredibly welcoming and couldn’t ha be ask for bettter service, restaurants offered good variety of food- always nice and fresh. All facilities were kept pristine! Really loved the stay . Couldn’t be happier with the choice.

United KingdomOnly bad thing to say is our pillows were too big (but this is more personal preference!) We didn't ask for others, so can't complain!
Great hotel with fantastic facilities. Lovely food and nice pools with amazing views. Would definitely come back, had a lovely relaxing holiday. Overall the staff were good - one member stood out (we didn't get her name) but she was the waitress in the Greek restaurant (we went there on Sarurday just gone) and she was by far the friendless and most attentive - so please could you pass on how great she was.

United KingdomThere was quite a long walk (ascend!) between the children area and the block where our room was located, which paradoxically seems to be where the family rooms are. The walls in our room were quite thin, we could hear everything that was being said and done next door. My in laws arrived a few days later and their rooms were closer to the pool area and did not have any issues with noise, so I wonder if it is a problem specific to the block where we were. There were not a lot of activities for the adults and the night entertainment was mainly live music. None of the pools were heated, so water a bit cold for this time of the year (late October). The negatives were amply compensated by the positives though, and we would not hesitate to return to this resort.
One of the hotels with the best views we have ever been to. The hotel is very clean. It has lots of different outdoor areas, all beautiful, so it doesn’t feel crowded. The sun loungers are super comfy too. The rooms are practical and beautifully decorated, great shower! The food was great, lots to choose from and it was constantly replenished. The beach is just a few steps down and although I’m not usually a fan is pebble beaches, the calm sea and clear water won me over. Perfect for a swim or to relax on the sun beds provided. The staff were friendly and courteous. I am terrible with names, but I’d like to thank the reception staff, the restaurant manager and waiters, the lovely cleaning lady who took care of our room (823), who always greeted us with a smile and did a fantastic job, and to Alexandra and Ana María from the kids club, who looked after our children and were so loving and patient with them (they say they miss you!). Finally, thank you to the hotel for all those extra details that made a big difference: the complimentary beach bag and flip flops (so handy!), the sweets left on the kids’ bed every evening, the free massage and the Greek farewell treats we were given on our last day. Thanks for an amazing holiday!

Fabulous hotel with amazing staff. Recommend the beach front bungalows. Good choice of food and drinks for all inclusive. An invite for a private romantic dinner was a nice touch and excellent service throughout the whole week we stayed. Bar staff were particularly attentive and evening entertainment was varied . Also a mention to the housekeeping, gave us an inflatable to enjoy in the sea and free flip flops.

United KingdomI would have liked a little bit more information about activities, the outdoor spa, the cost of room service etc. Reception could help with all of that but it would have been good to have it written down in the room rather than having to go and ask. But otherwise it was all brilliant honestly.
The staff were really friendly and helpful, my room was lovely with a great view. The cleaning team were lovely and cleaned the room every day (including mopping floors etc and lots of fresh towels). I really liked the location, the local bus was super easy and a very short journey into Kos town or to the Therma springs beach down the road. It was great to stay somewhere that felt like it was in the middle of nowhere (not loads of resorts and touristy shops etc nearby) but was actually only ten minutes from the main town. I booked a three island boat trip via reception that was really enjoyable and good value. I went as a solo traveler and really enjoyed myself, but I would say I didn't see any other solo travelers.

GermanyThe staff at breakfast always seem to wake up on the wrong side of the bed. Always in bad mood. They give you indigestion before you even sit down for something to eat. They are polar ends in comparison with the evening crew. They collect cutlery and crockery from around you and bang them together - one even dropped a knife on my dress in her haste to collect everything from a table that wasn't even ours. They're constantly rustling up dishes making such a big noise...it's very unpleasant to have breakfast there.....absolutely no customer service whatsoever. The attitude only changed a couple days before we left AFTER we spoke to the Manager...but by then, it was too late. They had already left a bitter taste in our mouths - we didn't even to go breakfast every day! The evening staff on the other hand....completely chilled and couldn't do enough to make you comfortable. We especially liked our waitress, Surella/Suella. She was a gem and deserved every Euro of the tips we gave her every evening. She was wonderful and friendly and kind and just a normal person with people skills. Use of the Spa (sauna, steam room, etc.) facilities at their sister hotel (Michaelangelo) next door, costs extra - we thought this was quite cheeky. Why not include this as part of the room cost?
We had been here before and had an excellent experience so decided to go back a second time. The resort itself is nicely spread out so even though it is big, it doesn't feel that way. There are 3 swimming pools which are properly maintained. The beach is a pebble beach but okay to relax and to swim. The food options at the buffet where phenomenal and so was the food quality. The Greek a la carte restaurant has good food but we were disappointed in the quality of the fillet steak which did not justify the cost of it. The Italian a la carte is NOT Italian. Their tiramisu was the worst I have ever eaten and no Italian would make it with slices of chocolate cake instead of lady fingers. The pizza was ready made, shoved in the oven and served as "Italian pizza!" It was an abomination. The tuna was A-Okay. There is just simply NOTHING ITALIAN about this restaurant except maybe playing Eros Ramazzotti on repeat. The food quality and options at the buffet is a million times better than this restaurant. My suggestion would be to change it to a Curry restaurant so that it is vastly different from the Greek and the buffet, but equally in demand and delicious for your English and German guests.

GermanyBathroom door in the apartment (2 bedroom family suite) isn’t sufficient to give enough privacy.
We had a wonderful week at the Dimitri Beach. The hotel is away from everything like we wanted it to be and due to the large area and how it is set up it never felt overcrowded. A special thank you to the fantastic staff in the main restaurant Flavours. They provided an outstanding service to the whole family throughout the whole stay and at every meal. Anastas is a brilliant waiter and host. Also thank you to George who runs the restaurant with great attitude and professionalism.

FranceThe facility isn't accessible to strollers (many stairs without any ramp), making it very difficult for families with babies.
We loved the view from the hotel. A special thanks to the restaurant team led by Georges, they were so nice with the kids. Also, we thank the babysitters of the kids club; very dynamic, smart and nice young ladies.

United KingdomAll was great. Only comment to make it would be good that area outside the hotel would have been taken care off as well. It is understandable that not all tourists or visitors are concerned about if they leave surrounding in a clean way, which is pity. However, it should be found a way to keep area looked after and not abounded .
I like everything, location in the most quite and relaxing area. The hotel has everything to enjoy your holidays.

United StatesThe staff was fantastic, always helpful and friendly. Especially Nicks, who was the service person for the beach. They handed out free water and drinks at the beach and would even deliver food from the snack menu. We had half-board so our drinks and lunch was not included but we found that the food at the bar was delicious and actually cheaper than going to the all-inclusive buffet (+25/person). We are not heavy drinkers and we prefer local cuisine to the buffet so the half board worked great. The hotel offers 2 restaurants with a la carte menus that can each be visited once per 7 day stay. That was a nice treat and the food was really good. Otherwise we hopped on the bus to Kos town and enjoyed a plethora of really good restaurants with great food at a good price value. The hotel has a car rental company on-site that offers a large variety of vehicles for rent and the process is quick and easy. We recommend at least one day of exploration to Kefalos (very picturesque beach/island/ruins/church), Melissa's Honey store/restaurant as well as the mountain village of Zia. Zia offers great views, shopping and good food and is advertised for the best sunset views on the island. Other sites include a salt lake, wind mills and many delightful beaches. Kos town has an old town area with plenty of shopping from cheap souvenirs to well made art and leather products. Some artist from the island and all over Greece offer their products. The restaurants are plentiful and most offer good quality food and friendly service. We found (with reservations!) some great places along the beach that were a little better than the ones right on the marina. As in most of Europe you can sit as long as you want and you are not chased to pay and leave right away. In fact you will have to get someones attention to get your bill and pay. We stayed at the beachfront bungalows and I cannot say how beautiful it was.

AustriaOnly thing which annoyed a little were people 'bagging' chairs and sunbeds without using them.
The resort offered extense and diverse options for having breakfast, lunch and dinner, also drinks. The all inclusive service was really enjoyable and we recommend it! Our wishes were absolutely fullfilled, which made us very happy :) During our stay we appreciated the very friendly, humble and careful service of the staff. The pools, beach and leisure activities were really good.

United KingdomThe outside veranda bar (where the entertainment is) usually didn’t have enough seating, could have been more efficient with space, plus a little understaffed with the table service which could be slow (unless you waved). Would recommend the beachfront bungalow, as we had our own space and no need to wait for a spot by the pool at 09:00 as others did.
Very nice hotel with well kept grounds. Friendly and helpful staff. Good variety of food at the buffet which had a different theme each night, as well as entertainment from 21:00. Hotel is in a quiet location, close enough to the town by short taxi (avg €20) or bus. Serene view of Turkey with cool water and plenty of sunbeds! Niko (bar staff serving drinks to the beach area) deserves a special mention… a very hard worker, always smiling, and gave great tips! We also loved the invitation of an extra a la carte meal which was candle lit by ourselves, plus a little hamper of Greek treats to take home! These little touches made the holiday even more memorable. Thank you!

IrelandAlthough the food in the buffet was of a very high standard and really delicious the lighting was so bright it felt canteen like / no ambience. Also the Greek restaurant was delicious for food but the service was really lacking and we felt really rushed eg. our starters arrived while we were eating our salad so had to just give them our half finished plate and while we were having dinner they had started to clear the deserts which were buffet style and cleaned all the tables of anything making us feel it was time to go . Maybe our reservation at 9 o'clock was too late but we should have been told when making it .We paid 30 extra for steak and bought wine and drinks but we were out and all within the hour , very disappointing compared to the rest of the resort
lovely hotel and all staff very friendly and attentive, for such a large resort it was kept very neat and clean . The food was delicious and such a great selection at the breakfast and dinner buffet. The Italian restaurant was super too delicious food again and service fantastic. the view from all pools and restaurants was amazing as it was from our sea front bungalow. Some nice little touches like complimentary mini bar in room and welcome wine and cake plate. Thanks for a lovely holiday
