Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumThe greek restaurant staff was a little less well organized because we once ran into a young waitress who didn't treat us well because she thought that half pensioners had no right to come to the Greek for breakfast. We got rude service because of it. I think the staff is better off with George as we never had a problem with him and his team. Otherwise everything was perfect, there is nothing negative to say !
Very nice staff, especially GEORGE the best. He welcomed us with his team. The organization of the hotel restaurant was perfect. Fresh, well-supplied food. Everything was flawless ! we received a birthday cake without asking. it was a nice attention ! the rooms are beautiful and well equipped.

United KingdomI didn't particularly like the food, I am not a fussy eater and neither is my partner but I don't think the choices were fantastic, but I want to make it clear they weren't BAD, just not great. & of the choices available they were just OK standard, not delicious. This is the only real fault I had all holiday & would still recommend people to stay here
The staff were all super helpful and genuinly nice people. The hotel facilities were also good, the bed was super comfy, there was lot's of pools and the drinks were great!

BelgiumThe water in the pools was quite chilly the first days, but it warmed up quickly with the sunny weather. There were no activities for children or sports activities, probably because the holiday season had not yet really begun.
A splendid resort with 3 pools and a beach, away from the more crowded areas of the island. The family suite was almost luxurious: it had two spacious rooms and two bathrooms and a terrace overlooking the sea. Everything was new and neat and the rooms were cleaned very thoroughly every day. The service was impeccable, especially George and his team at the restaurant were always helpful and friendly and the food was excellent.

United KingdomThere was only one tiny issue which we all found; there was no full length mirror in any of the 4 rooms we booked; this was a shame, luckily I was travelling with someone who could take a photo of my full profile and I could adjust my clothes accordingly, but my friends and family managed to find alternative workarounds.
Our room was amazing beach front bungalow in a quiet location, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower powerful. Overall everything about the Hotel was perfect, all the staff, the facilities, food and bedrooms. Would definitely go there again.

SwitzerlandDifficult to criticize something ... may be the rather slow internet connection?
We were for a 1-week stay in this very nice hotel. Arriving there, we were upgraded to a family suite. Also obtained a late check-out (5pm) the day we leaved. Very nice staff, attentive and helpful. Varying food / buffet offer, good quality, despite the large number of guests.

Absolutely loved everything. Super clean and regularly changed bedsheets and towels everyday lovely to come back to the room to it cleaned. Exceptional unobstructed views from our club suite balcony. Fabulous large pools allowing plenty of room for sunbeds. Food was delicious and plentiful and the staff were very polite and would complete any request with no problems. A great location just a stones throw from Kos town centre (15 min bus journey)/ 10 minute drive. Super relaxing everything about it. Felt like I was on a cloud when I came home. Very sad to leave but will recommend to all of my friends and family. Thank you Dimitra Beach!

United KingdomThere is nothing I can say I didn't like about this hotel - it has absolutely everything you could possibly wish for when booking that relaxing vacation away.
I recently returned from a 2 week stay at Dimitra beach hotel and I can whole heartedly say it was everything I wished for and more (so much so that I ended up extending my stay for 2 further weeks!). Throughout my stay the cleanliness of the rooms and resort was upheld to impeccable standards (many thanks to the wonderful Debora), delicious food was always served and my room was beautiful and modern offering incredible sea views and site of the surrounding islands. The hotel is in the perfect location; just a 10 minute’s ride from the town centre/bars, with the natural hot springs of Therma just 5 minutes away in the other direction. This was my first time travelling alone as a female traveller but from the moment I arrived I was made to feel at ease and welcomed with open arms. From my initial interaction with the amazing reception girls Maria and Anna, to Michalis in the lobby whom was always at hand to help, to Vasilis, Eleni and Levon who make the best drinks on the island, Bruna who is forever smiling and dancing whilst bringing you your drink, alongside the amazing restaurant team who go above and beyond for their guests, I cannot commend the staff enough for what a fantastic job they do day in and day out. During the day whether you want to relax in the sun or be a bit more active there is an option for you. The amazing Valentina in animation is always at hand to take you through relaxing stretches in the garden, leading onto a fun and feel good aqua gym workout. Her energy is unmatched and she would always be at hand ensuring every guest is left smiling, as well as giving honest recommendations for trips you can do on the island. I can’t thank her enough for completing my vacation experience and making my stay as wonderful as it was. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for that relaxing break, Kos is a beautiful island made all the better in the resort and heart of Dimitra and I look forward to returning in the near future!

United KingdomOn arrival not receiving the room I initially booked, especially as I was a return visitor for my 3rd visit. I felt taken advantage of due to being a solo traveler. This was eventually rectified satisfactorily by the hotel who upgraded my initial reservation. Background story, on my first night stayed in a room with no working phone. I called Booking.com to try and advise of the arrival situation and of the 2 unsuitable rooms I was shown, neither of which were suitable or indeed match a bungalow as booked and to explain the mishap on my arrival at the hotel. At the time was very stressful due to not being able to make contact. 0n my second day, I was housed in a garden bungalow, which is what initially was reserved. As a solo traveler, the view, outlook outside was to the back of a wall of another bungalow. Certainly not the most uplifting! It was most unsuitable as visibly there was no garden view or glimpses of the sea to be seen. Photos can be provided on request. Once everything was eventually settled for the remaining five days of my stay and after a week of having stayed in a room which in my view didn’t meet the criteria, plus after spoken with hotel management and Booking.com I can only commend the staff who ensured the rest of my stay went smoothly and without any hitches. I love Dimitra Beach and have and will still recommend to friends. Obviously, as I had set out to return for a third stay at the property, at which I had only experienced good times on my previous visits. Once as a solo traveler and the other time with my family. I feel this review had to be written to make both the hotel and Booking.com aware so as to prevent or avoid anything like my last experience from happening again, to a new visitor, who perhaps wouldn’t have been as understanding. My bad, as I also returned home to receive extra charges on my phone bill due to being held on the phone and having long conversations with booking.com. So it’s something to be improved upon too.
This is my third visit back and I travel around the world for a living! The property is situated in a beautiful location and as a solo traveler it feels very secure and comfortable & the staff I found to be hospitable. If you are looking to get some sun and eat well with easy access to town then this is the place for you to stay in Greece without having to pay the highly escalated prices found in both Santorini and Mykonos. Lovely pool areas and the views are stunning! I went in mid-September so was very quiet as children back at school. If you're looking for a suntan then this is the place to get one.

United KingdomThe beach is pebbly - but this is not a particular issue. There are no water sports which for somewhere with such abundant wind seems a shame.
The property is really nice although some of the rooms were in need of redecoration. The pools and grounds were excellent with adult only and children’s pools appropriately positioned. The staff were exceptionally friendly and very keen to ensure that everything is done to make your stay as good as it can be. All this is none with a big smile.

North MacedoniaIf you are there without children and want to relax, there are just no places where kids are not there, so at some point all the pools even those for adults are full of kids, and it might get annoying. Also when you arrive its good to inform yourself what is included if you are half board and what not, because it can be confusing.
We really enjoyed our stay. Our bungalow was steps from the beach and you could really enjoy the sea and at night listen to the waves and enjoy the stars. The staff is AMAZING. Special thanks to the bar manager Vasilis who just makes the guest feel special and brings such a positive energy, as well as to Nikos a very polite and lovely guy who made sure we got our drinks at the beach, as well as the Hotel Manager. They really want to make your stay great! The food was nice, many varieties and so many options for vegetarians which I loved. We liked the evening entertainment(almost every night something different planned) as well. Room was cleaned daily and even the ladies who do this are super nice. The beach is a bit rocky, but the water is clear and you feel nice that you are not in a crowded beach and have your peace and quite and nice a view. The pools are okay, the one we liked the most was the one on top, in some of the others there were many kids playing. They have a gym in the property near by, which was very good. The bus stop to the city is right in front of the hotel and you are in Kos in 10-15minutes and the bus is regular so it was very convenient, or you can also rent a car and visit some of the other beaches. We had a wonderful time there, we would definitely come back one day!
