How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The location of the apartment is wonderful, near many beautiful beaches. The studio is equipped with absolutely everything you need, very clean, daily cleaning, beautiful and quiet garden. The owner, Kostas, very kind and welcoming! I definitely recommend!

Great communication with the owner ahead of our arrival, he was very helpful. The room was clean, a bit outdated, but it was all fine. The location is great, its 2 minutes to restaurants and supermarket and aprox. 7 minutes to the beach, which is beautiful. The accommodation is easy to reach from the airport, there is a bus coming every 10 minutes. Definately can reccommend!

In the area were many mosquitos and flies and during the evening and night it's better to close the windows/doors which unfortunately does not have curtain to prevent their entrance.
Very nice apartment equipped with everything you need, very clean, bathroom quite big, location at 12 min from Koukounaries beach, also close to the bus station, the host was expecting us to come and was nice

Kostas and his family were very warm and welcoming. Communication was easy and fast, and he kindly waited up for our later than expected arrival to greet us. It is located very close to a small supermarket which was ideal, and Koukounaries beach was only a short walk away.

Very nice appartment with everything you need (except maybe a sofa, but the chairs and beds worked just fine for us), kind and very friendly hosts, Kostas waited for us, even though our flight was delayed and we only arrived shortly before midnight and the rooms were cleaned every couple of days. Good connection to other locations on the island (including the airport) via the bus (every 15-30min for 2€/person, busstop 23). Supermarket and restaurants less than a km away.

No negatives regarding property or management.
Owner, Kostas is a really nice person. Studios are in a great position, room was great, clean. We thought the nice touches like coffee and filter machine were more than we expected. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

There was no hold for the shower head, so washing my hair was awkward. We could have done with some more relaxing chairs outside.
The owner and his mum were friendly, we had a private outside area, it was clean and close to everything we needed. We had a proper washing line, to hang washing on.

A charming little hotel among greenery and a beautiful garden. Quiet and relaxation. In a very clean room there is a comfortable and functional kitchenette with a cooker, a sink and a refrigerator. Close to the best beaches on the island. Nearby there are 2 supermarkets, restaurants and a bus stop. Kostas and his Family are fantastic owners, helpful, caring, making every effort to make the guest feel comfortable.

The apartment is located close to the bus stop so it is easy to visit the South coast. It was in a green area near the supermarket and many restaurants but also to less touristic beaches. The host and his sister were helpful and nice.

Great location, very close to bus station. Beds comfortable. Great price for accomodation with breakfast included. Staff really friendly, helped me when I jumped on sea urchin.

The apartment was lovely, it was in a great location and had everything you needed to be self sufficient. Kostas was happy to be of help and very accommodating. Definitely would stay again if I was in the area
