How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The decor and overall ambiance are real throwbacks to the 1980s. This place could promote itself as a heritage hotel it is so out of date. All Greek hotels used to be like this. Most have moved on and upgraded. Not here.
This hotel is what it is. It appears to be the cheapest hotel in central Ioannia and you get what you pay for. Don't expect luxury, don't expect much in the way of facilities, but you can't reasonably expect these at the price you pay.

Old world service and attention to detail. Pleasant staff and excellent English. Great location in town centre and not far from bus station. If heading for Albania on the bus, note that one trip day leaves at 6.00 pm.

No hot water kettle in the room. For a place where everyone is wearing two jackets in April, a kettle seems to be warranted

Parking is available, but even with a Fiat Panda I managed to knock the antenna off the ceiling since its so low. The parking isnt as obvious as it it could be since you must access on a mixed car/pedestrian street and exit on another. Recommend getting details from the hotel before arriving.
Good price and location, right on one of the nice walking streets in the city.

Many cobblestone streets from bus station to hotel. I could not find any restaurants nearby. A paper map from hotel would be nice. Thought it was odd they told me I needed to pay upon checkout. I paid via Booking.com during reservation process. Be an aware traveler.
Similar to 1970’s - 80’s Small town USA hotel. Great front desk. Elevator great for luggage. In an area of upscale stores.

Mattress was a little soft and overused. Rooms were in need of updating and decorating.
Location was fantastic. Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Excellent location in the centre of town. A short walk to the old quarter and on to the lake. Shopping, including supermarkets are very close. Walk to the bus station is about 15 minutes. Very clean.

The facilities are a little dated but it didn’t make my stay any worse. Everything worked fine.
Perfect location. 5 mins walk to the lake. Very central. Air conditioning and TV worked fine, room had a balcony overlooking a side street, 24-hours reception staff were friendly. Good shower pressure. Comfy bed, clean sheets, comfy pillow. Little fridge included in the single room.

Not renovated since ages, painting falling from the roof. Room cleaning mostly on request only, not every day. Shower sometimes with warm water, but often without. WiFi in the room mostly working but fairly slow, sometimes breaking down for a while.
Room reasonably spacious, quietly working A/C, fridge in the room, comfortable bed. My room was quiet, windows to the backyard. Located really in the very center of the town, everything in the walking distance, 200m to the fortress. Nice staff. Parking available 30m from the hotel, but I've only seen its entrance, did not use the car.

The only thing that I can say about the property that is an old building, but besides that nothing negative.
The location is perfect in the city center you have everything next to you. The hotel building it’s old but is great to have a nap and explore the city all day long

The ceilings in the parking are a bit too low, you need to be careful with your head, I hit mine once
