How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very nice location, right in the city center. The host is really nice and helpful, the apartment has all the necessary ammenities and was very clean. It even has a view of the sea.

This is a 3rd floor walk-up (no elevator) which was not an issue with us but something to be aware of if you cannot get up and down stairs very well. Also, the bathroom is very, very small which is interesting given how spacious the rest of the apartment is. We are of average height and weight so it was ok for the few nights we stayed but it would be a problem if you are a larger person.
Perfect location right by Solomos Square. Very short walk to waterfront, and many shops and restaurants. Parking in that area can be a little bit of a challenge later in the evening but we were able to easily find spots within a 1 minute walk. The apartment was spotlessly clean. Bed was very comfortable. Great wifi and air conditioning. Very quiet at night except for the occasional loud motorcycle.

Can be a little noisy in the evening, being on the edge of the lively Solomos Square but quiet after midnight.
Clean, bright and comfy apartment with lovely views in a great area of Zakinthos town. Thoughtful little touches like books, games and a few essential provisions like tea, coffee and water. Electric shutters help keep the bright morning light out and the balcony enjoys sea views. Dennis is a great host, allowing us to check in early and responsive to messages.

The kitchen could have been a bit better equipped, we didn‘t find a knife and also no cutting board. So keep that in mind if you plan to do real cooking like we did. Apart from that, everything you need for cooking is there. Unfortunately during our visit the apartment underneath ours was renovated, so we were hearing loud construction noise from time to time. It didn‘t disturb us, but might be a problem for some people.
We enjoyed our stay there very much. Communication with the owner was unclomplicated, requests were always answered fast. Flexible check-in is possible. The apartment seemed to be very new, it was extremely clean and had everything you need for a longer stay there. Washing machine, almost complete kitchen with fridge/freezer, stove, ofen, toaster and microwave, many towels and bed sheets, great air-conditioning, large balcony. The location of the apartment is also very central, you have many shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance. There are also many parking spots nearby, if you have a rental car like we did. For that price I think we could not have found a better place in Zante town, thank you for the great

A reminder the kitchen/pantry is with oven and microwave. No stove for cooking.
The location is unbeatable convenient. The apartment is spacious and with almost everything you need including the washing machine. Self check-in is easy and fast. The host is fine to do early check-in if the condition is ok.

The host was very good with the communication and was very friendly, nice and accommodating!! The apartment was the best i've stayed in Greece! Clean, modern and the room was spacious!! The location was absolutely perfect, close to the square and many restaurants + supermarkets just a few steps away. I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a place in Zante Town!
