Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IsraelThe breakfast was regular - nothing special. the coffee is not good (comparing to the places around). you have to know that there is a way to order an omelette. nobody is explaining that to you. The hotel is relatively expensive given the alternatives around. In the rush time you have to wait for the elevators.
The location is excellent - close to everything! The rooftop was amazing in the morning and especially at night. The staff is very attentive. we got a bottle of vine and a cake for the anniversary as a room service.

United StatesI was annoyed because I had a cocktail in the afternoon at the 10th floor bar and paid my check with the maitre'd and asked for a dinner reservation outside on the patio which he confirmed for 9:00pm. He said if it was raining they could accommodate me inside. When I showed up he pretended that he had never met me and pointed me to a table inside. I pushed back and reminded him of our conversation and he relented and found me a table outside (with a fabulous view of the Acropolis) but the whole interaction was awkward and unnecessary.
View is unsurpassed. both dinner and breakfast were world class. Service of staff was outstanding. Spa services (booking, treatment and front desk) were also excellent.

IsraelThe view - A building opposite and ugly rooftops. It is a pity that in a five-star hotel, there is no maid service in the evening. Also, I did not appreciate being given a choice of percentages from the total amount as a tip to the concierge and reception instead of giving me the option to give the amount I wanted.
The location was the best. The breakfast was plentiful and very good. The room was large and comfortable. The facilities in general were excellent.
