The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was quite diverse and always delicious. The beach was really clean and a pleasure to relax on. The bar staff (hotel and beach) was very friendly and the cocktails were top notch.

It is very difficult to find fault with anything.

The hotel staff could not do enough for us. We had a wonderful welcome. The hotel is clean and has a luxurious feel to it. The food was of a high quality and a huge variety catering to all tastes and diets. We had a fabulous time and were even treated to an upgrade due to our anniversary.

Mattress was awful (never had such a bad experience before in my 20 years of traveling) ...and the towels had a very bad smile ( like they weren't clean properly). Same thing i noticed with the glasses from restaurant... So cleaning is an issue for me. This hotel its not a 5 star hotel for sure. More as a 4 star.

Food was great and i liked very much the private pool from the room, and the fact that the beach was close.

Towel policy (only one per person per day and could only be changed at set times) too restrictive. Any 5* star hotel should offer unlimited towels. Beach drinks service not available. Pool too small for the size of hotel.

I didn't like the fact that with the HB offer we had to pay for the still water... I know HB has its rules, but still water should be always free of charge (in fact, in some restaurants on Crete it is free of charge, and it doesn't have to be a fancy place).

Friendly and helpful staff (all of them). The beach is really nice, the pool as well. The food was tasty and there was something new every day. We also got a better room without an extra charge, which was a pleasant surprise.

There is sensor in the room that checks for movement in order to activate the electricity. After 10 monutes it shuts down. For us with a young baby, this meant we had to stay in the room and could nit sit on our balcony undisturbed. I did not appreciate how it was dealt with, we were told to leave window open so that the curtain would activate sensor. OFCOURSE THIS DOESNT WORK! When doing a written review on app, I got a call within the hour that they all of a sudden actually have a solution (extension cord from socket of fridge). Clearly, a WTF moment why nit offer that the night before?! This however again technically didnt work and waited 2 days for them to fix and they never came back to us.

Not clean enough. Hair everywhere on the stairs and in the room. Some things were updated and needed some fixing. Also the pool towels were not clean enough even if we changed them daily. Also I was very turned down by the mini club (this is one of the things I was looking for being alone with 2 kids). No real activities and the only girl taking ‘care’ of the kids speaker mainly German and clearly preferred German kids. Not happy at all with that. Activities for grown ups were great and full of energy thanks to Olga and Dimitris!

When we arrived we were weLcomed Like kings and queens! Fresh towels and drinks! Heavenly! It was a very good first impression! And we felt at home! The rooms were very nice and quiet and easy to access with the stroller! The buffet was incredible and the staff was AMAZING! All So sweet with my kids and the food was different every night! We LOVED the bread: freshly made and tasted delicious! Also the ladies at the pool bar Cristina and Hara were the cherry on the cake! So sweet and professional! My girls and I fell in love with them and we miss them a lot!!! Pool is spectacular and the beach is mainly sandy which was good for the kids!!! Loved the iced cappuccino and the kids menu!!!

- nothing really to complain. Maybe it is a bit far from Heraklion airport, takes 1 h 20 min to go there. But that’s just how it’s located. - some staff seemed unhappy

- very clean small boho style hotel - even though it is a small hotel it didn’t feel crowded - very good food - great animators - amazing sunsets - good beach - a supermarket and small shops are located other side of road

The towel changing scheme doesn’t work well. You only have 2 hours in the middle of the day (16:00-18:00) to change them. Would be a lot easier if we could do it in the rooms or on a much wider time window.

Hotel premises were new and well maintained. The rooms had all the amenities needed without being unnecessarily equipped.

Lots of gluten free oftion, all the food is labled with signs so no worries A little bit far from the central cities, we rented a car for the whole trip, really recommanded Sandy beach, pool start at 95 cm to 125 cm Big supermarket in front of the hotel Mini market in the hotel for snacks and pool stuff

Not a huge range of food options. There’s the main restaurant which is buffet and then occasionally a BBQ buffet on the beach restaurant. Otherwise no other restaurants, you can order snacks by the pool but quite expensive and not included in all-inclusive. There was a bit of construction next to the hotel which was noisy at times. The main pool and hotel is set a bit back from the beach.

Gorgeous small hotel. Wonderful food. Nice drinks. Kind and friendly staff. The room was quiet, spacious, clean, modern and furnished to a high standard. Lots of eco-friendly changes around the hotel.

Lunch by the pool (menu) is a bit restrictive (no salads or pescatarian options). Shower drainage system wasn't the greatest, leading to overflowing after a shower.

Beautiful hotel with access to the beach. Loved the facilities, sun beds, cabanas and pool. The beach is clean and close by to a restaurant. The staff are great, we made some great connections. Food wise, we loved the breakfast and dinner options.

The location is a little far away from Chania or Rethimno so you need a car for going out.

Beer wasn’t great but ok. Some of the fizzy drinks on tap tasted a little ‘odd’ from time to time. Only a shower in the room not a bath so something to consider if that is your thing (garden room) and we got two single beds despite booking a double room.

All the staff we encountered were amazing and could not do enough for you. The animation team worked tirelessly to “bring the fun” if this is your thing but equally respected mine & my husbands wishes to just “chill” which was really appreciated! Too many hotels can force this upon you but they were a fantastic team who got it just right! Food was always of a high standard, only thing lacking was sometimes the temperature of certain dishes was a little cool but I feel this is something that is difficult to manage when catering for all inclusive & it definitely didn’t affect the quality. Breakfast was slightly lacking in regards to your typical “English” but this is Greece after all. Cocktails amazing! Properly made & a good selection. Reception were happy to phone for taxis. All in all a fabulous holiday & will return!

The sun beds are black so very hot in the sun!

The staff were very friendly. The food was incredible with so much choice! The place was also really clean. It was our anniversary and the staff went above and beyond to make it as special as possible. They greeted us with a bottle of fizz and a free upgrade for our last couple of nights!

There could be more distance between the tables for breakfast and dinner at the restaurant.

We loved our stay at Eliros Mare. Our highlight has been the great staff and the animation team who made our stay memorable. The sport offerings during the day (beach volleyball, pilates, zumba, yoga, ...) were a great highlight each day. We can highly recommend staying at Eliros Mare.
