Epas from the hotel contacted us 1 day ahead of arrival. He greeted us himself at arrival. He was very helpful with advice about restaurants and places to see. Breakfast was excellent. Epas served breakfast himself everyday. Lots of choices. One day we went to Samaria Gorge and was leaving early so Epas made us a breakfast package. I have stayed at many hotels but this was both very personal and great service through our entire stay. Would definitely stay there again if we are going to Crete. Highly recommended

I liked it had all we expected, near the beach, nice pool, cozy and spacious room, friendly atmosphere, delicious breakfast. Wonderful sunset view and a lovely long beach. Many facilities in the area : shops, restaurants, farmacies, not very far from town Chania.

Nothing to dislike…

Our stay at Elizabeth Suites was 10/10, could not fault it. Property is clean, spacious, in a great location (near to a lovely beach, shops, restaurants etc) & also very quiet/relaxing. Epas is a fantastic host, who made us very welcome (even before arrival). Will definitely be visiting again.

Spacious , well furnished apartment with facilities to cook if you wished. Epas, his wife and staff are very friendly, and accommodating to any request, for example advice for booking a hire car.Nice pool and good quality Sun loungers. Two balconies to catch sun morning and evening, a nice view of the sea.

We had a very nice stay so it would be wrong to criticise anything negatively.

The room apartment was huge with everything we needed. Although the hotel was on a busy main road we were at the rear of the property so it was very quiet. The staff gave us a very warm welcome and plenty of advice and the breakfasts were very good and served to our room.

The pool area was partly shaded for most of the day, due to the proximity of adjacent buildings. however, this didn't really affect our holiday, as we travelled to the beach most days. Other than that, we have no complaints.

Very spacious semi-basement studio, which kept lovely and cool, even without the air conditioning being on. Epas was a fantastic host, who took the time to recommend places to visit, including some lovely beaches that weren't even in the tourist guide books. He even advised us on buying our bus tickets from the local supermarket, which was almost half the cost of buying a ticket on the bus. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the studio was well equipped.

We could not fault anything with our stay

We had a simply fantastic holiday made very special with our hosts Epas and Valia. They made us feel so welcome right from the day we met them until the day we left. They could not have done anything more. The breakfasts were exceptional and varied everyday with such a magnificent selection. Epas and Valia were just delightful hosts

Near the main road but a very quick walk to the beach and a short bus ride to Chania town so not really a problem.

A fantastic place to stay with really friendly and helpful staff. They gave us drinks on arrival as we were a bit early and room was still being cleaned. We were also able to leave our bags safely in a room on the day of our departure and use the pool and facilities which was fantastic for us as our flight was until the late afternoon. The apart looked onto the pool area and was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. A really nice place to stay just outside the town.

Elizabeth Suites is the perfect place if you are looking for a calm and relaxing holiday. It's a family-run hotel with excellent hospitality. The owners treated us (and all other guests) like family and offered help in anything we wanted. They were always ready for some chit-chat and gave great tips to explore the surrounding area to make the best out of our holiday. All the other staff was always very friendly. One of the best thing at this place was the breakfast. We could pick from a great variety (including local delicacies) and it was personally served by the owners. Our apartment was clean and very spacious. In the beginning we weren't that pleased about the souterrain apartment, but it turned out to be a great choice in August as it never got hot (however, the apartment had great air conditioning). Kato Daratso itself is a great choice if you want to stay away from busy and loud touristy places, but it's still very close to Chania. We would happily come back to Elizabeth Suites any time!

About 100m from lovely beach, next to minimarket and buss stop. Only about 4 km to Chania. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, especially the Cretan one; dakos, feta, olives, traditional baked goods, fresh orange juice, frappe etc.... Pool area was nice and relaxing. Many nice restaurants nearby.

The hotel has lit of charme, staff is excellent comforting guests, we loved it to have our cretan breakfast in the garden under palm trees.

The apartment was dirty, the bathroom in particular was bad. I have added photos of the dirt and clumps of hair around the edge of the bath, the grime on and around the shower screen, and the coffee pot which was not clean at all. There were 4 of us staying in the apartment, but when we arrived it was only made up for 2 people. The sofa bed was then very hastily put together and we were not provided a blanket for it. Also, there were only 2 chairs provided for the balcony. The kitchen was not "well-equipped" and the hob was not very powerful, and it was also dirty with previous spills and burn marks (see pictures). The extractor fan literally pushed the air straight back into the room. The kitchen area was small and poorly laid-out, which meant it was difficult for more than one person to be in that area at any one time. The apartment was supposed to come with "1 separate bedroom" but everything was one big open plan layout, which was not ideal for our group of 2 different couples. The mattress in the main double bed was not comfortable while the sofa bed was very short (I struggled to fit and I am only 178cm). For some strange reason our pillows were changed halfway through the week, and the replacements were like bricks! The apartment was also supposed to come with a "walk-in shower", but we were provided with a shower above a bath, which as mentioned was dirty. The water pressure in the shower was poor and the water took a long time to heat up. The pressure and the temperature were even worse if someone used the kitchen tap at the same time. Overall, it felt like the room did not match the description and some of the photos are definitely of a different room to ours. There is no real excuse for how dirty the place was. We were excited to stay here here given the many positive reviews, but we were left sorely disappointed.

The receptionist was very friendly and provided us with lots of recommendations of places to see, activities to do and restaurants to eat at. The pool area was quite nice and we did have a lovely view from the balcony towards the beach and the sea.

Emailed owner about husband hitting his head on ceiling every time he used bed. No reply The equipment was poor in kitchen, the cooker was awful . An old cooker with a couple of rings on top in a cupboard! The fridge was old and had frozen up by the end of our 2 weeks so the door wouldn't close properly. We expected a lot more for the price we paid. We didn't see the owner from the day we arrived to the day we left. The cleaner was the redeeming feature.
