The only downside is the location. It is located right next to the main street, so there is a lot of noise from the vehicles passing by. On top of that, under our balcony there was a tatoo studio that had really loud music. But you get used to it quickly :)

Appartment was spacious and clean. It is also very well equipped and modern. WiFi was working superb as well. Really no complains regarding the appartment.

Localization was very good, in the centre, close the shops and the beautiful beach. The appartment was good equipped and very clean (regularly cleaning by the staff every few days). There could be a bigger wardrobe. The street is quite noisy, but that was no problem for us.

The apartment was really nice, it was clean and has a very big balcony. It is 5 minutes away from a beautiful beach and there are a lot or restaurants and shops nearby. A trip to Rethymnon (20 min by bus) is definitely reccmmended

Mosquitos. Not to many, but they can bother, so it is good to have a spray or a device that scares them away.

Emorfia's apartments is very well equipped, spacious (with high ceilings) and very clean. It was nice to be met with a small bottle of rakia on the kitchen table :). In the apartment there is a well-equipped kitchen, hair dryer, comfortable shower and even an iron. There was plenty of room for a family of 4. The beds and mattresses were very comfortable. Most apartments offer additional sleeping space on the sofas, but at Emorfia's there were 2 additional beds with very comfortable mattresses. The terrace of the flat we stayed at is very spacious. It was especially nice to have frequent cleaning services and frequently changed towels. Shower gel and shampoo was provided by the host. The host also helped us a lot with information by responding promptly and offering complete information. I can also add that the host was very reasonable and helpful in a few exceptional situations. A large and pretty clean and calm beach is at a distance of a 5-minute walk. There are many restaurants around, where delicious food is served. (We especially recommend Myli and Steki). But also local supermarkets. One is near the apartment and Lidl is at a 10 minute walk distance.

A pool would have been nice but the apartments did not lend themselves to that.

The property was in a great location in the middle of Platanes with lots of bars and restaurants very close by. It was bright and spacious. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. There were many supermarkets close by that opened late and we found the prices were very low. The apartment was spotless and was cleaned very regularly with fresh towels and bed linen. The host Theodoro was super helpful and responded very quickly to anything we asked. The air conditioning was very effective and really needed as it was very hot when we were there!

- Central location means that having some street noise in your rooms is - at times - unavoidable. On 2-3 nights during our 1 week stay, a night club nearby played a very loud music, which made sleeping impossible till about 11pm. While it has nothing to do with the flat per se, the abound nightlife in the neighbourhood may make your stay (in particular, with children), a bit stressful.

+ Clean and quite spacious apartment in a central location of the village Platanias (region Rethymno). + Sand & pebble beach in about 5-6 minutes of walk + many good restaurants, supermarkets etc. in the neighbourhood. + Friendly and responsive host, who reacted to our requests fast. Thank you again, Theodoros! + It is easy to reach the highway by car and start exploring the island from this location. + To sum up, we would like to come again one day!

Nothing was bad, there were just 1 or 2 details that could make this apartment even a bit more perfect so we provided that feedback already. We missed having some warmer lights in the bedroom and a shower holder on the wall that's about head height. We already provided this feedback to the host. :) also, we travelled in April when it is not so warm yet so if you travel then, be sure to have warm socks to wear at home - the beautiful marble floors are a bit cold everyhwere in Crete, not just in Emorfia's Apartments :D

The apartment was exactly as described and as you can see in the pictures: modern, clean, with everything you need to sleep well, cook, relax, feel at home. Theodoros, the host, is very very helpful and friendly. It was reassuring to know he was available to give local advice or deal with any problems (we didn't have any problems though). The apartment really does have everything you may need: towels, hairdryer, iron for clothes, kitchen, cooking utensils, fridge, a drying rack that dries your clothes in the balconay overnight. The balcony is big, it has a nice table and chairs; the apartment has curtains and shutters if you want a dark room at night; the aircon works very well, the sound isolation is excellent. We slept very well as the mattress and pillows are great, we have only good things to say, we loved it. Plus, the location is great with many tavernas nearby, a supermarket and of course, a short walk to the beach!

There was nothing negative about this apartment the only thing which would have made it absolutely perfect would have been a comfortable chair in the living area as the seating was understandably a daybed due to the apartment being for more than 2 guests, I found it a little too far back to rest comfortably but to be honest that is probably more to do with the fact I am quite short and have arthritis and not a problem most people would have

The apartment was very clean and well appointed very convenient to the area we wanted to be in also had parking which was great for us. The owner was very responsive to messages and although I didn't have any need to contact him during our stay i am confident that he would have sorted any query or problem.

Just a little bit noise as we faced the main street, but you get used to it. Nothing to complain really.

The host is very nice and answers fast any question. The location is great. Lidl and other supermarkets are very close (walking distance). Beach is also close. Many taverns (personally recommend Vergina). Parking spots are safe (video cameras). Air conditioner in each room. Kitchenette is equipped with everything you need. Comfy beds and pillows.

We have been coming to Crete for the last 24 years and this is the best apartment yet. The size, cleanliness and how modern it looks. The apartment had a very large balcony that over looked the main street, which was perfect for relaxing in the sun and soaking up the vibe. Theodoros was on hand for any help we needed, which was reassuring. If you are looking for an apartment in Platanes, this is a must you will not be disappointed.

An ironing board would have been useful (an iron is provided), and some basic consumables for the kitchen (e.g. salt, pepper, etc.).

The apartment's location is central and less than a minute's walk from numerous restaurants and bars, yet no noise can be heard from within the apartment itself. The apartment is also equipped with a great aircon, basic kitchen facilities, and a fantastic master bed.

It's a great apartment with a very good location: a supermarket, a bakery (very recommend it!), and a couple of good restaurants less than 100 meters from the building. The apartment has conditioners in both rooms and a filter in the shower (it helps to soften the water, as a person with long hair I was really happy). The cleaning ladies come every few days and make the apartment crystal clear. When I needed an additional blanket, I've simply texted the host and got it within a couple of hours. The WiFi signal was really good too. It's a really good place even for a longish stay (have been there for 2 weeks).

An exceptional hotel in all aspects. Located in a village Platanias close to Rethymno. The village has a great atmosphere and while being close to Rethymno, is much neater and cozier. Close by are some of the best tavernas: Yannis, Finikas and Pagona’s Palace, supermarket, rentals, and about 400m away massage center (Soma) and many many more. The host (Theodoros) and personnel takes great care of the customers, available 24/7, and ready to help with anything. They make sure you have a great time and a pleasant stay. The apartment itself is very neat, spacious, clean and well designed. It has everything you need. One of the best price/value ratios I have seen.
