Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing. Some people might have an issue with the noise.from the square in the evening but we loved it.
Room was so comfortable and well designed with every need catered for. Breakfast was delicious and staff were helpful and kind. The balcony looking out over the piazza was our favourite bit - a chance to read or work but also feel connected. And Nafplio is wonderful for walks and sea swimming.

CyprusThe staff tried to enforce strict check-in times which just caused stress, and we had to rush for no reason. This is a big handicap for a holiday resort.
Location, rooms, breakfast are excellent.

United KingdomNothing to say … just perfect!
This beautiful stylish adult only property, blends the modern features of today comfortably within its historic surrounding. We loved the location, situated just off the corner of Syndagma Square. The locally sourced breakfast, served in the room was almost worth the visit alone. The absolutely fresh and delicious greek products made us feel that we were staying somewhere special. That coupled with a beautifully appointed room, large balcony and just delightful staff, made our visit to Nafplio one remember. We would stay at the Epoch House & Orange Shop again without hesitation and look forward to our next visit.

GreeceAmazing hotel in the heart of the old city. Very friendly staff ready to cover all our needs. We requested breakfast in the room, which is an amazing option to have. Even though it is located in a very busy area, the room was almost completely soundproof from outside noise. Excellent bed and everything was super clean. An awesome feature was the huge TV screen and the tablet which controls the lights and the air conditioning. The shop on the ground floor had many local delicacies, and I strongly recommend getting a jar of strong flavoured oak honey, which has a unique taste.

SwitzerlandThe room was a little small, but as it is in an old town house, the space is limited. All was perfect.
The room was very new with high end furniture. Also the breakfast was really nice. I enjoyed it in the separate room. Nice quality food provided. Very good quality windows, absolutely no noise heard.

It is a new hotel with tasteful decorations. Its located is in a central place but the sealed window/door blocked noises away and made the room very quiet. The service was warm and pleasant. Epoch house will be our choice when we visit Nafplio again.

CanadaThe room a little too high tech for us. We could never get wine fridge to work properly (power shuts off when you leave room) and bathroom light and fan could not be turned on individually. Minor and likely people more technically inclined than us would figure out.
Great staff - shout out to Georgia and great location. Breakfast generous and rooms modern.

United StatesThe only downside is parking Guests need to park the car on the huge public space on the embankment and carry bags some hundreds meters, depending how far you were lucky to park there. Do not come on weekends since it seems that all residents of Athens rush to Napflion to enjoy th we town and to show off
This small hotel is part of a shop selling quality drinks, but this is not a problem. More so, fresh orange juice and dry fruit for breakfast were wonderful. The rooms are recently renovated and well appointed in the minimalist style. Location can not be better. It is practically on the central square of close everything in Nadplion. Being surrounded by pedestrian streets it is lively at day and extremely quiet at night. We had a roomy balcony to enjoy the rich breakfast on fresh air. Highly recommended place to stay at this resort town full of history of Greece (Capodistria)

United StatesMy wife and I stayed here for 1 evening. Check-in was very fast and easy with Sotiria. She walked us up to our room, and explained all the features to our living quarters. Obviously, you can control everything manually, but there was also a tablet next to the bed, which you could control every single light in the room, as well as the different settings of the air conditioning. So cool, just like they have at these grand casino hotels in Las Vegas. We truly enjoyed the modern amenities in the room. The bed was super comfortable. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it was a Coco-Mat, which I am told by my Greek relatives is the best. I might have to agree. The property was also so clean everywhere. All the common areas were extremely well lit, and again spotless. Breakfast was great. You filled out a form in the afternoon of the different things you would like to have, and in the morning the breakfast was delivered at a time of your choosing. We chose to have it in this open common area on the first floor. The staff were amazing and helpful. Very lovely people. This boutique gem of a hotel is in a great location, and they have really thought of everything. I only wish we could have stayed longer.
