There is no parking available in the Old Town of Nafplio. It was required to quickly drop off luggage and then park in the designated parking areas which can be up to 5-10 mins walk away.

The hotel is located in the Old Town of Nafplio so it is within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and sites to the town. Each room of the hotel has a separate theme and we stayed in "The Dream". The room was spacious, comfortable and very relaxing to stay in. The staff are extremely friendly and made our stay even more welcoming.

Modern and well appointed with a perfect location near the water, 10 mins walk to great beach. Heaps of excellent shopping right out the door. Fantastic breakfast as well. Very caring staff even arranged local Covid tests for our flight out of Athens. Highly recommended.

With such beautiful and luxurious rooms, I'd suggest matching the bathroom amenities with the experience. Maybe some Cotton swaps, better shampoo and conditioner, separate body shower gel... etc. Also they should be labeled, we couldn't tell which is which when they were all in pure black unlabeled wall mounted pumps.

We were in room Mona Liza, I'll just list the goods: Central location. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. Heavenly bed. beautiful interior lighting and design. Friendly and helpful staffs. One of the only place we stayed in Greece with proper hair dryer. Delicious breakfasts. Easy free parking at the port.

A massive construction project taking place right in front of my balcony. This construction site was not only an eyesore but also a constant source of noise and dust, rendering my stay unmanageable.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with Espero Royal Hotel in Nafplio Greece. I had reservations, but I did not stay at the property due to a disruptive construction project. Despite this, the hotel charged my credit card twice without authorization. The ongoing construction outside my balcony was a significant issue (dust and noise), leading me to request either a room change or a refund. The hotel refused both and charged my card twice. I found alternative accommodation and did not stay at Espero Royal Hotel. I am actively disputing these charges with my credit card company. I strongly discourage considering this hotel for your stay, given these issues. Please be aware of their billing practices and the ongoing construction project.

Over 60 stairs to get to the room, balcony is actually in a different room facing a building under renovation , no windows at the room, pictures don't match reality.

most problems below were due to the room being an attic. skylight window curtain-shade was broken, in the main bedroom and the first daylight was right in our face. they knew it was broken but they had not fixed it. in the other room the wall window also did not have shades or curtain so the children were waking up with the first light. A/C was not on when we arrived although we called 2.5 hours ahead to notify of our arrival and the room (attic) was hot. the a/c in one of the rooms was not working. techinician came and fixed 50% then next day the remaining. safebox was not working , but we notified them and fixed it the next day. in the room there was a device blinking red and green all night called e-respirator. the staff didnt know what it was. behind the hotel a building was renovated and in the morning (except sunday) there was noise. 56 steps to the attic.

great location. great taste in the decoration of the room. great materials. plenty of space for nafplion. great 4 rooms in the 1st floor. unfortunately we stayed at the 2nd floor which was the attic. we would stay again on the first floor to give it a try. great cleaning services. changed towels everyday.

Shower head was leaking / spraying all over the bathroom. We expected the breakfast to be good but they didn’t even have filter coffee (which was on the breakfast order sheet submitted the day before). For a hotel aspiring to such high standards the breakfast was a let down. The manager definitely needs to train the staff.

The A/C stopped working during the night because there was probably a problem with the motion sensor which stops the A/C work while you sleep. It was very annoying and unfortunately there was no one to talk to during the night.

The design of the rooms is beautiful. The rooms are big, facing the port in a very good location. The stuff is very nice. It indeed answers the definition of a boutique hotel. The only reason I didn't give it a straight 10 is a problem with the A/C in my room (see below).

The air conditioner DID NOT work. We were extremely hot the entire night. The front desk attendant came up to fix the AC and still did not work. So frustrating, all of the amazing qualities were null and void due to the air.

Shower drain was clogged and water did not go through, which was disappointing considering how much we paid for the stay. Also, sound insulation was not great, we could hear people walking in the corridor.

when we’ve arrived no one was at the reception. like literally no one . A waiter from the restaurant came later and gave us the key. THAT’S IT. she said “the lady from the reception has already left, so she told me to give you the key. uhmm it was 7pm.. what means LEFT? okay, we checked in. I needed iron .. there was no one to call, no one to ask. just a poor waiter who already had too much work to do. the room was unpaid. so I asked when can I pay ? she said in the morning. well, okay. in the morning - the same situation. there was nobody at the reception. I had to go to the restaurant and ask where/when I can pay for our stay ? I had to look for stuff ! And the lady there was just like “it’s okay, pay later. after your breakfast” . like I’m giving you my money and you don’t want to take it? breakfast - so bad , my god. the same lady and one chef and THREE tables. she was running around and it took her a looot of time . around 11 pm I came downstairs again and asked “CAN I FINALLY PAY FOR THE ROOM?” . thank god I did .

Location was good ie close to everything however if you plan to sleep before 11pm or have young kids who sleep early stay away. A bar or club is situated next door and the music was so loud our 5yr old could not fall asleep. We called reception and were told nothing they can do.

The main issue with this hotel is the noise. The alleys behind the hotel have obnoxiously loud music and they have done a very poor job on the noise insulation. Considering it’s a brand new hotel that’s a major no go in my books…

The A/C is terrible. The vent goes straight onto the bed. You have the A/C in your head all night. There is a stupid sensor system aswell so the A/C takes time to turn on/ off. This needs to be corrected. We had the downstairs room and the jacuzzi was not finished either.

Close to the big square so there was loud music till 1am - did not love that but maybe we were just unlucky.

We enjoyed our stay - great location but it’s not really a hotel - more of a guesthouse but that’s ok given the price. Good breakie today.
