Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

This place was perfect. The location is incredible, directly in the center of downtown Nafplio (and right by the ocean). The room was big and incredibly nice and comfortable. The balcony was a wonderful surprise. The breakfast menu was large and delicious and the staff were just wonderful.

United StatesIt was perfect.
The location was perfect but I knew that when I booked it. I didn't know how exceptional the room would be. It was spacious and gorgeous. The design was so smart that I could really imagine staying in this room with my teen for a month.

United KingdomBreakfast. This was weird, they gave you a printed sheet for you to choose your breakfast the next day and hand in the night before, by 10pm. Also selecting the time you wanted to eat. We complied and arrived on time to find an empty restaurant, the cook was then asking the staff questions and after informing us the selected options were not available agreed alternatives and made them. What a pointless process, they simply should have taken the order at breakfast instead. Three days toast (just normal toast) was requested and "not available" instead some rock hard "village bread" was presented, this was practically impossible to eat, as after you'd hammered off the crusts (they would wreck the strongest of teeth) the residual bread was so heavy and unpalatable. the whole breakfast process was a farce and they should stop "trying to be clever" and just let guests order what they want / when they want. Setting a fixed time is also poor as some mornings you may want a lay in. The hotel is small and as such with few guests there is no need to pre order, particularly when the cook is standing there doing nothing just waiting most of the time.
The location was superb, right on the edge of the square, a short walk to the restaurant and harbour. Parking was close in the organised car parks, these were always busy but if you drove round two or three times we always got a space.

United KingdomThere’s no lift because it’s a listed building but staff more than happy to help anyone needing it.
Lovely staff in an excellent location. The rooms are very good, and benefit from being larger than your standard Marriot etc as it has that ‘boutique’ quality.

GermanyEven though the food was great the restaurant was empty in comparison to others, which I can't really understand. We were the only guests which was a bit odd, but the good food more than made up for it.
A tastefully decorated, small boutique hotel with staff that go out their way, this hotel is worth every cent. Although it is pricier than many hotels in Nafplio, it is worth it . I had told the staff that it was my 20th wedding anniversary and they made it very special for us with many romantic details. The room was comfortable and the food at the restaurant was delicious.

United StatesMy only complaint--a small one in this lovely and greatly accommodating hotel--is that there were exit/safety LED lights in our room which aimed right toward the bed which were so bright that they kept me awake. I appreciate safety measures but have never encountered this issue in any other hotel so hope there might be a better way to adjust them.
Great breakfast in the dining room served at our convenience. Above all is the staff who were helpful and welcoming from start to finish.

United StatesI had rented 5 rooms and put my wife and I in the most expensive room. It turned out there were more stairs than we expected. So we switched rooms with a younger couple in our group. It was still a lot of stairs to our room. The top room had no windows so that was a downside to that room also. There was a local election going on so a loud event took place one evening. We went into town to eat to but still heard the noise. Luckily the event ended before we went to bed.
The hotel was near the port, away from central action, but easy to get to anything. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site was excellent. I was surprised that we had rented 5 of the 6 rooms in the hotel. So our party made up almost all the guests for our stay.

IsraelEmergency green light that turned on all the time was right opposite the bed and disturbed my sleep. there was a big balcony in my room but it was a construction in the next building and construction workers started as early as 7 a.m. Parking is in the port public parking area, that might be quite challenging on weekends.
Great breakfast, you may choose from a number of options. Superb location in the old city, near the port and restaurants. Superb staff.
