Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GeorgiaThere are some comments that we, as experienced travelers, would like to recommend that apartment owners correct: Wi-Fi must be available in the backyard, otherwise the recreation area there loses its importance. We were missing a small cutting table in the backyard. There was no good big knife. I would add another cutting board to the backyard. It is necessary to provide guests with small sets for lighting the barbecue (perhaps small wooden sticks, dry grapevine, paper, liquid for lighting coals) - it was difficult to light the purchased coal (by the way, we left half a bag of coals for the next guests). I would also recommend sending a message on how to get the keys upon arrival, we were a little at a loss, we did not have the Internet and we could not contact by phone
excellent apartments, 5 minutes walk from the port. The apartments have a well-kept rear patio with a barbecue area and garden furniture. There is water in the backyard, new two barbecue grills. There is a fruit and vegetable store right on the street in front of the house, where you can also buy charcoal for the barbecue.

GermanyAir quality was a problem: The tiny bathroom has no mosquito nets and gets humid after shower, and only the kitchen next to it has windows, but the mosquito nets had problems. A lot of traffic on the street can be noisy and chaotic for parking - confidence is needed, but we always found space. Crosswind for quick fresh air is only possible when opening the entrance door window to the high traffic street. There are water pumps and AC units out the back window that sometimes make noise, we had to close the back window to sleep. The washing machine has a "trick" to work, so I would say it is inoperable for you. The big TV is very old and has strong ghosting. Thick stone walls make Wi-Fi behave mysteriously - otherwise the internet was fast, but better bring a cable. The water service in Zakynthos is a bit salty (everyhere). Overall this is a good place with a good price, but this year we saw a lot of competition in Zakynthos, multiple similarly good places for a similarly good price.
The owners seem to live in the same building and were very helpful and responsive - but they only speak greek. The appartment is very nice, clean, new, the vegetable garden out back is even more beautiful now than on the pictures, great for having breakfasts. Two doors towards the street block the noise well. Ground floor and thick stone walls keep the temperature nice and cool, and dark for sleeping-in in the mornings. Two new, clean, strong air conditioning units with night mode - but we only ran it for drying. Good location for the town. Overall this is a very nice place and we had a nice week in Zakynthos, no regrets.
