Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryWe loved this property from the beginning, the location is very good, close to the beaches and to supermarkets. There is a small supermarket on the corner, the Lidl is 15 minutes away by walk. We rented a deluxe apartement, our balcony was next to the pool. The apartman is very well equipped, maybe the kitchen could be a little bit more as we prepaired our breakfast ourself and we cooked sometimes as well. The cleaning lady came every day and cleaned our apartement and also created funny animals using our towels. Chania city is 4 km away, the bus station is right on the corner, you can take the bus 21 and get to the city within 15 minutes. We were very satisfied, friendly staff, everything was perfect. Also The pool Looks bigger than on photos and its really beutiful.

FranceThe wifi is not working well in the room and in the balcony. The bathroom is very small and the floor gets wet soon. The kitchen is not that much functional to cook on your own and it can be used only for heating.
The property is very close to nice beaches and a bus stop which connects to city center. The swimming pool area is quite calm and the best for relaxation with good wifi connection. The rooms are cleaned up everyday. Overall it’s a nice stay for us.

Fantastic and very helpful staff! The whole team is very professional and service-oriented. The hotel is very close to the beach and has a beautiful pool. Hotel can also arrange tours to the main destinations in Crete - very convenient if you are not renting a car. All on all, 10 out of 10!

CyprusOur trip to Chania has been an incredible experience, thanks to the accommodation, hospitality and services offered by the hotel staff and especially by our host Dimitris. He welcomed as with kindness. He was always willing to provide information about transportation and sightseeing, but also to offer us our requested amenities to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Every single member of staff was exceptional. Eleni prepared our breakfast with an extensive selection of deli meats and cheese and other traditional snacks. Andriana in the reception was always happy to help and her care and diligence are reflected in the high standard of the information service of the hotel. Last but not least, the cleaning service was really good. We always had our towels cleaned and the bedroom tidied with everything in place.

GermanyWe've got an old room and the floor was always dirty.
The location was quite good, there were multiple beaches nearby and beautiful nature. Also, the city centre is located 15 minutes by car. There is a good choice of restaurants and shops.

Germany- Everything quite dated and not up to modern standards (pool, room, etc) - No electric outlets in the bedroom (!!) - after asking staff for an extension cord for a medical device required while sleeping, they found some very old cables that barely reached into the sleeping room. No room change offered, did not offer to organize any longer extension cords etc - Bathroom was tiny - >500 EUR for 5 nights way to expensive for offered rooms and services - pool only opened 10-18 pm - you have to ask extra for towels for pool & beaxh - they were super old (and partially dirty) towels with weird prints - other reviews are overly (too?!!) positive - would not recommend for this price
+ Nice location close to the beach

FranceThe room is very old and has spider webs in corner. WiFi is not connected to good. We never use the balcony because there was a huge amount of mosquitoes, even a lot of it in our room. The kitchen is poorly equipped, the bathroom is quite small.
The location is very good, near 3 very nice beaches. Bus stop to the Chania center is in front hotel 2 minutes away. The room is good size and clean. The staff was really nice and helpful. Breakfast is good.

GermanyThe place needs deep maintenance; looks old inside, a little gloomy, sad, also cheap (appliances, air-conditioner, furniture, bathroom). Bad smell was very often perceived from the sink in the kitchen.
Breakfast good, continental. Personal excellent: the place has not the most modern, best pieces of furniture, bathroom appliances, air-conditioner equipment, but the staff is really attentive, respectful, and willing to provide you with any help like information (local buses timetable, mini-markets location), umbrella, clean towels, reservations (excursions, taxis), etc.

BulgariaRooms were dirty with spider webs in corners. No electricity while we were away, which is a must for the money we are spending! No phone reception (so no mobile internet) and absolutely no wi-fi in the rooms - connectivity was terrible. Beds were two singles - not one double. Aircon had disabled flexibility to change temperature - was fixed at 24, which was too warm for us. Kitchen facilities were not great (e.g. no where to warm water for coffee in the morning). No mosquito nets, which is a must, since there was a huge amount of mosquitoes in our room constantly (we did not open the doors or windows, but cleaning lady always did). Breakfast was mediocre for the price we had to pay.
Okay location. Room size was okay. Good shampoo.
