The Focolion is just a bit remote to get to… but that did also add to it’s authenticity.

The castle makes such a unique stay. It is close to Aeropoli, and a nice stop off for a trip to Monemvassia. Dimitrios and his Wife were very responsive to our needs and provided us with a sumptuous breakfast. The views from our unit were lovely. All in all, an unforgettable experience.

Our stay at Focalion was lovely. The castle and its rooms are beautiful and very clean, the hosting family is very kind and helpful and of course the view is epic. If i could give 11 stars, I would do it!

Lacked a few personal touches in the apartment. It was stated as pet friendly but the owner got in touch to say it wasn't, after some discussion we figured it out.

Really beautiful location and property! Very comfortable flat, easy and close to Aeropoli. Would definitely recommend!

What an incredible stay at this hotel! The room was beautiful, the view was amazing. Breakfast was an absolute FEAST, so please save room for this! The host and his wife were wonderful. We will return here the next time we are in southern Greece!

Nothing, everything was perfect

Wish we could haves stayed longer. Everything was exceptional. The breakfast was outstanding & the location perfect. Incredibly clean & well kept. Views of the sea & the mountains are breathtaking. The staff & the property owner Dimitris are so helpful & attentive.

I copied and pasted the address to WAZE, and it took me to the small town nearby. I called to find out how to find the property, but the English was limited. Sadly, I speak no Greek. I found someone in a nearby town who helped me find the property on the map. It's down the zig-zagging road across from the BP gas station. Once you turn on that road, there are clear signs to the property. A sign on the main road would be helpful (if allowed). Also, when the owners were out for a well-deserved day of rest, their sweet, friendly dog barked all day long. I would yell no, then he'd stop for a short time. Then start again. Sigh. He was quiet throughout the night. And he was mostly quiet once they were back. I would have taken him on the porch with me but didn't want to overstep boundaries.

Beautiful property! The veiws were outstanding, and the gardens and landscaping were wonderful. Dimitri and his wife were very kind and thoughtful. The kitchen had everything you might need. Very clean. There were plenty of electrical outlets in perfect spots. The bed was comfortable (not as hard as most here). There's a lovely beach at the bottom of the hill. It's minutes from the Caves of Diros.

I cannot fault a thing! This was a very memorable trip! Dimitri, Lota and Ilia were the most amazing hosts- nothing was too much, don’t hesitate to ask! The breakfast was superb, a must to Include in your stay! The view, the gardens, the sunset, the peace and quiet, the immaculate rooms and facilities- honestly I cannot recommend this beautiful castle enough! Definitely recommend having a car to explore the surrounding areas. Hope to return! A beautiful family run hotel, just superb
