Awesome friendly staff, the place was cute and clean and lady came every day to clean the room. There is a restaurant & pool on site and big sandy beach with chairs and umbrellas just like in the pictures. Also, there are lots of little shops just down the main street. Would return

The room wasn't always totally clean. Sometime there was still sand on the floor and the bathroom smelled a little damped. Otherwise everything was fine 🙂

We loved the location. Near to some shops, restaurants and super markets. You could also easily take the bus to Heraklion city. And the beach was right there 😊 friendly staff, cheap and jummie food in the snackbar. Nice clean swimming pool.

I didn't like leaving.

Everyone at Frank's was so accommodating. We arrived very late but that was not a problem. Our rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable beds, and a well working air conditioner, fantastic shower with great water pressure. The staff was so welcoming, we felt like family. We were always met with smiles. The food was delicious. The pool was so refreshing, never too crowded. The beach was lovely, the sand somehow was never too hot, again, never too crowded. We were able to book an excursion to Santorini through the hotel with ease, even with short notice. We are looking forward to bringing our family there in the future. It was close to many attractions with easy access. We also especially loved being greeted by Lily, the cat each morning at breakfast.

When I first entered my room, it smelled a lot like somone smoked inside there.. not so bad as I'am smoking myself, but for other people could be quite unpleasing.

I stayed here for the last two nights of my vacation because I wanted to lay at the beach, drink cocktails and do nothing. Well I did what I wanted and with all this super expensive hotels around, Frank Apartements has nothing less to offer. You can have breakfast.. at the beach. You can have dinner.. at the beach. You can have cocktails, beers, softdrinks, icecream.. at the free of charge beds.. at the beach :D Loved the friendly staff and the food/drinks.

The location of the apartments is wonderful! it’s just a few steps away from the bus station which allows you to come and go from that part of the island as you please. The food is delicious!! And cheaper than anywhere else around here. Sofia is wonderful and super helpful with booking us a taxi to and from the airport. I will 100% return here.

However, the area of the beach that is served by Frank Apartments is opened to outside tourists, as well, and it is a rather big area which makes the beach services difficult to access: too crowded, the waiters have many orders. Also, note that the locality, Ammoudara Herakliou, does not bring justice to Crete. It is a dull locality compared to other areas in Crete, not to mention the higher accommodation costs for the entire experience. I regret moving there, even for a couple of days... just to be closer to Herakliou. Research more on the areas.

The location as distance to the beach is awesome. The facilities: pool, restaurant, shops around - great. The room is rather small, but cozy and with a nice view from the balcony (trees around).

The power sockets in the apartment are too few and not very well placed, but Sofia was kind enough to lend me an extension cord.

our room on the ground floor had bit issue with smell on moist kitchen cabinet and especially bathroom we covered hole on bathroom floor and it helped we asked very nice cleaning lady to replace two pillows as they also had smell and she brought new ones in one minute with a big smile and no drama hotel is very very clean to be clear about that and they have daily room service. we even had aromatiser for the space with very nice smell. model that takes also mosquito tablets. they were missing, but we found in supermarket around the corner or bring your own mosquito tablets. Place is surrounded with green area so normally there is few mosquitos just apartment maybe was on ground floor and poor canalisation and proximity to sea can cause this.

property is situated on the beach. beach is sandy and clean. Playa bar is cool same as girls working there. you can pay at beach bar your bill once in the evening they accept cards. Advantage of staying at this property - free access to sun beds and private swimming pool. the room was equipped with cutlery/dishes for 3 persons. tiny balcony is enough for 2 people comfortably to fit and has drying string and few clothespins to hang your swimsuits place had parking for fee for guests car rentals but we used public transport as part of local experience. Trip back and forth to Heraklion for dinner or a city walk is comfortable with a city bus (buy immediately 2 tickets from supermarket for 1.5€/pp/ per ride) even airport can be reached in 45-50’ for the same price. taxi station is just 200m away very nice and communicative host/ owner Sofia Lena doing her job with a smile

Beach bar sometimes is too crowdy so the stuff and kitchen is not able to manage it.

Super friendly owner and staff. Perfect location, just 20 min away from airport by bus. Bus stop, markets, shops, car rentals just around the corner. Big free car park. Free access to the sandy beach with sun loungers and umbrelleas. Comfortable studios with AC. We loved the food in the Frank Burger Bar - they do great job there!

The location is lovely with a beach bar and pool. It had parking facilities at the rear of the apartments. The staff were amazing and friendly. They were very accommodating and helped us in any way that they could! We had dinner at Frank's burgers which is located by the pool and also had breakfast at Frank's apartments, the food was incredible. The burgers particularly, were insanely good and it was all great value for money!
