Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndonesiaStairs. Almost all rooms are up stairs, to first and second floors. There is no lift. Staff very very helpful carrying suitcases to and from rooms. A couple rooms on ground level - ask staff about them in advance as they’re hard to get.
Beautiful restored old Venetian mansion. Breakfast was included and terrific. It’s family run. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Bonus was it was a 5 min walk to a lovely tidal swimming pool..

Canadawe stayed in 2 rooms- the sea view room was too loud for us because of traffic noise. the hill view was great, much quieter. If you prefer firm mattresses like we do, you will find the mattresses quite soft.

United StatesSoundproofing was only from outdoors, we could easily hear the people in the floor below us having a conversation
The view was nice on the roof. The staff was exceptional! Decor is nice and a delicious breakfast. Alex running our baggage up 4 flights was incredible!

United StatesIf you don’t read Greek, don’t rely entirely on the hotel’s greeter to direct you to the only part of the old town where outsiders can park a vehicle. Unfortunately I did..and got a 20 Euro ticket after following the instruction and accompanying map provided at check-in.
Location, location, location! Right in the heart of charming town, a block or two from the seafront.

AustraliaParking an issue. Required to park at the port public car park, although it was not too far. Just as most accommodation in Greece in 2023 - it certainly was not value for money.
Central and convenient location. Clean and breakfast was adequate. Staff were extremely helpful and available to assist with all queries.

United StatesThe suite could use some more hooks for hanging towels, etc, but that wasn't a big issue. The only real negative, and I'm sure it has been mentioned before was the shower. The shower itself is fantastic and stylish and very large, BUT you have to walk through the shower to get to the toilet, so we had to dry a path with a towel after we showered. If it weren't for the strange shower issue this place would be a strong 10 in all other respects. We would gladly stay here again!!
Great location and a room that looked like something out of Architectural Digest! Really a gorgeous suite! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and you can even order your eggs the way you like them. The bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent as well. We had a car and were able to park within about an 8 minute walk in the parking area near the port where there were plenty of spaces. We dropped off our luggage at the hotel before going to the parking area.

United StatesIf you have a car you have to park in the public lots. They are several blocks away. There is no elevator so you have to climb some circular stairs to your room….but….The staff is great about taking you bags up and down for you.
Great location. It is in the old section of town. It is close to lots of restaurants, shops and the seafront. It is a lovely old converted mansion. The room was very roomy and had a nice little balcony.

GreeceAlmost nothing. A few things that would make it a 10+ stay for us would be if it had parking, elevator and window screens/mesh panels.
Excellent location, very friendly staff, beautifully decorated hotel, clean room. Our room was at the roof (3rd floor) so it had an amazing view from the terrace/balcony. Tasty breakfast, with choice of how you like your eggs which were freshly cooked once you ordered.

CanadaWe were greeted by the most helpful gentleman, Taki, who checked us in, and let us park our car out front in order to unload our bags easily. He made sure we were happy with our rooms before settling us in, and even tried to relocate our kids to the same floor as us (hotel was sold out so not possible but ok as our kids are old enough). He had to carry our heavy bags up the stairs and didn't complain once. The hotel is located very central in old town Nafplio but at the quiet end of the area so the busy night time activity doesn't bother you, It is also two minutes walk to the waterfront so very convenient. The daily included breakfast was excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
