Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe town is not ideal for visitors with mobility issues as being built into the hillsides surrounding the harbour and main square, walking access to the property.involves long flights of steps. This did not affect our enjoyment of the visit in fact we were probably fitter at the end of our week 😉. In Pylos and other towns one might visit streets are often narrow so renting a smaller vehicle would make for an easier visit.
George was around quite a lot of the time and is very helpful friendly and informative. His communication prior to our arrival was good and very helpful regarding directions. The house while relatively basic was very clean and well presented for guests. Beds are comfortable and kitchen has all one needs for basic food preparation. The small shady patio behind the house has a table with chairs and is pleasant for outside eating. Location of the house is in a quiet back street a short distance from the town centre with a wide choice of bars, restaurants and food shops. Pylos Town is also well located for making visits to other places of interest. The availability of a dedicated off-road parking space we very welcome.

United KingdomLocation was 3 streets back- ie up- from the main square and harbour meaning 3 very steep flights of typical Greek hillside steps. OK for the fit and injury free. The shower, being over the bath, was not easy.
A lovely old typical good sized Greek city house with a very pretty courtyard with morning sun and balcony overhanging the quiet street for evening sun. A very welcoming owner.

United KingdomThis is not a negative, it is just worth mentioning that there are a lot of steps to go from the house to the main square and port. Although it wasn’t a problem for us (we walked down and back up with groceries and we’re almost 70) it could he an issue for someone with limited mobility. It’s also useful to note that the house is on a one-way street.
The amount of space, having a separate eat-in kitchen, the outside terrace and little garden, the off-street parking. The welcome items on the kitchen table were also appreciated.

IsraelI would have liked to be closer to the centre and closer to the sea. View of the sea was a bit tenuous in the sense it was from a tiny balcony and there were buildings that spoilt the view. The street name was not recognised by Google Maps, and anyway Internet was a bit erratic so in the beginning we had a problem locating the property.
Once we made contact everything was fine. George was really helpful and made sure we got there quickly. Outside space was lovely. Comfy table and chairs. Plenty of kitchen appliances etc, and info. George works hard to make sure you don't need anything. The apartment was super clean, air con a bonus, and even a fan.

United KingdomWe cannot fault anything
In a terrific location in a friendly residential area just minutes from the town centre, this is a lovely spacious and characterful apartment which really feels like a Greek home. The hosts have anticipated everything guests could possibly need (or want) - information, toiletries, and a wonderful selection of local produce to enjoy - including George's own organic olive oil. The outside space was lovely for meals and catching the sun almost any time of day. There is parking right by the apartment - which is a really plus in the small streets of Pylos. We couldn't have been happier here.

United StatesI have literally nothing bad to say about this place except that I'm not there anymore, haha!
It's impossible for photos to capture the charm of this wonderful little place in person. I stayed for a week and I felt like I was living like a local in this beautiful little town. The house could not be more perfectly situated, you can walk right down the steps to the main square in mere minutes, and there's a parking spot so you can easily drive further afield anytime. The yard is perfect for eating outside in the fresh air by the lovely garden. The little balcony is the ideal spot for a morning coffee or afternoon read and you can see all the way from the living room and balcony to the water. It was a joy to come home every day! And on top of that George is a really special host. The raves about him are not exaggerated, every interaction with him will make you smile! I ended up staying even longer than I planned because I didn't want to leave. This place is a peaceful, unpretentious treasure!

United KingdomI'd be thinking of something to complain about
Just had a fantastic week in Pylos, the house is close to the main square and all restaurants and shops, the beds were comfortable and the much needed air con a blessing. Everywhere was very clean and the house though not modern has a nice retro feel to it. Theres a nice covered patio at the rear and a front facing balcony for the sunsets, there's a private parking space too. And George, he's a gent.
