Wast any single thing we didnt like. All was perfect!

Our plane landed in evening so this place was perfect to start our Journey in Crete by car by staying there for one night! But once we came to hotel - I thought it is also very good place to stay even for longer period. We took Suite with sea view and it was very spacious, perfect sea views and large balcony all over the suite with possibilities to sunbath and just chill by sitting there. Friendly stuff, perfect restaurant with traditional Greek food and drinks! Recommend for short and also long stays!!

I wish the bathroom was a bit bigger. Also, I couldn't really close it, there was a sort of a revolving door made from an opaque glass - not my personal preference. But it's just me nitpicking here!

We had an absolutely amazing time at Yianna Caravel and I do hope we will come back one day. Everything about the stay was great! The hotel is away from any main roads so the area is peaceful and it's not too crowded. Heraklion might be a bit too far for a walk, but you can easily reach the city center by catching a bus at a nearby bust stop. The general ambience of the place is really cool - you don't feel like a tourist there and you immediately feel like you belong. It's very homely. I'm really glad we chose a room with a sea view, it was well worth it - I revelled in the view and spent each evening on the balcony. The food & drinks at the hotel restaurant were delicious. The menu was rather extensive, we never left disappointed after a meal and we didn't feel the need to eat anywhere else. On top of that it's situated right on the beach! The restaurant must be quite popular in the neighborhood as there were locals coming in to spend the evenings together with their families - another reason why this place feels truly authentic. The staff was always very kind, communicative and responsive. I'm a comfort-seeking person and all my hopes and expectations of that nature were met. Definitely high value for money! I would say Yianna Caravel is perfect if you're looking for a place that's quaint and comfortable at the same time - you can't get that in a chain hotel in a city center.

Shower in room didn’t have enough guard but easily overcame.

Friendly and welcoming staff and lovely beachfront. Clean room and comfortable. Generous and tasty breakfast. We ate dinner at the restaurant as well and it was delicious. We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is right in front of the beach! The view from our large balcony, with a big glass edge is astonishing! The room si large and nice decorated. The breakfast is very good, rich and varied. The staff are very polite, attentive to the client’s needs but discreet. And last but not least, the cocktails are great and the food is delicious! We are sorry we didn’t have time to try more from the menu! Congrats for the chef! Definitely we will recommand Yanna Caravel Hotel and next time we will stay longer!

The breakfast buffet is because of covid with waiters, you cannot pick up the food by yourself. At the beginnig it takes a littel bit to get used to that. Maybe I would not take half pension the next time, to try more of the delicious dishes on the menu.

The room was really nice with a beautiful view to the sea. It was cleaned every day und the bathroom is almost new. The people at the reception and at the restaurant are very nice, they know their guests personally because the hotel is not that big. The restaurant is really AT the beach, which is very beautiful. The Food in the restaurant is awesome, a lot of local people come to the restaurant. After one day-trip, we decided to stay at the beach of our hotel for the whole week, because we liked it so much. Very comfy beach beds. The hotel also rented a car for us, in a very easy process.

Kind and friendly staff - all: waiters, bartenders, receptionists, cleaning ladies, beach waiters, the owner (apologies if we forgot someone). Outstanding service, delicious food and drinks. The fridge in the room is too loud when it switches on, we could hardly sleep from the noise. The bathroom door was a glass door and it had no door handle and there was space between the door and the frame ("swing door"). It was unconvenient. Moreover, the bed was next to the bathroom so using the toilet was even more unconvenient. There was always something smelly in the backyard.

The seaview was beautiful from the balcony, the staff was kind and the room was comfortable. There were always free and comfortable sunbeds in the beach and there was service also at the beach which was great! :) The breakfast was lovely and there was a wide range of food.

It's by a power plant, the air quality is not the best - you can see the clouds of exhaust coming from the plant. There is sewage smell around the elevator area, the bed was terrible, as was the view from the room (we were facing some solar panels on the building next door). The room itself was not was pictured on Booking, it was smaller and had no desk. Lastly, it's a family beach resort that runs a sort of summer camp, so there's a lot of kids. This didn't bug us as we barely spent time around the hotel, but I'm sharing in case it helps others.

By the beach, breakfast, but the staff was the highlight of the property. They were great and friendly.

Despite the view, room needs some improvements. Shower is not working properly; temperature of the water is always switching to very hot to very cold If it rains, balcony keeps the water and you cannot use it after Beach is not so beautiful and clean

Missing part about property - swimming pool.

I definitely like the position of hotel. It's literally on the beach. You can see the seaside from your room. Also I really enjoy in the backyard, a lot of beautiful plants and decorations.
