A very lovely, spacious and clean homely hotel. The family (Maria and Giorgos) are very kind and warm people. Maria offered us very tasty coffee, fresh lemons and gave us the best directions for exploring the surrounding area and sightseeing´s. In the room has everything what the visitor may need during his stay. The whole hotel has a lot of homely warmth. Parking is right near to the house. We definitely recommend staying in Maria´s and Giorgos place, it's a great experience.

As returning visitors to Giorgos & Maria, we were delighted to be back. A quick trip at the end of last season had us staying elsewhere and ‘elsewhere’ is not as good! On this visit we chose one of the first-floor apartments - very similar to those on the ground floor, but with an elevated view and a slightly more private balcony. As always, the hospitality from our hosts made us feel welcome right from the start; friendly, full of advice and local knowledge and always happy to help in any way they can. Equally, if you just want to be left to your own devices, they sense this and you’ll hardly know they’re around… apart for the immaculately serviced rooms and the smells coming from Maria’s kitchen. Speaking of Maria’s kitchen: if you’re lucky enough to be invited to dine on their homemade food, usually served on the patio, think hard before turning it down. Maria is famous for her moussaka, fish and beef stifado. When we were there, an evening meal with salads, breads, a main course, beers and after-dinner fruit & raki (lots) was nicer, and cheaper, than many of the surrounding restaurants. Overall, our stay with Giorgos & Maria was exactly what we needed, the perfect blend of relaxation and exploration, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommended - thank you both.

We had a great stay at Giorgos' and Maria's. They were attentive and friendly. The apartment is roomy and it looked newly built/renovated. All appliances in the apartment worked smoothly. The terrace too was very comfortable. Totally recommend!

We thought we could have nice dinners there. According to old reviews it seems to be nice to eat there. But now they have stopped serving dinners. Sad, but i can understand it, because they do must of the work themselves.

This is more a luxury issue but the mattress could’ve been a bit softer for both of us. It was fairly hard.

View from the balcony. Room and balcony are very spacious. Close enough to the center to grab the car and be there in a few minutes, but far enough to enjoy the silence in the area.

The hosts locked one of the remotes temperature for the AC. This made it impossible to increase the temperature for continuous cooling during the night on a higher temperature or for decreasing the temperature when we needed extra cooling. This could be fixed with a phone with IR but still an inconvenience. Some of the furniture and equipment was on the older side of things but still not bad. It was hard/impossible to sit 4 people on the balcony protected from the sun. If you don't come by car I would probably reconsider if I were you.

The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were very nice and provided tips and advice for visiting the area. Both bedrooms had ACs and there was also a fan available. The "living room" was pretty large. Pretty good view, relaxing. The location allows you good access to some of the south attractions on the island and provides easy access to Heraklion (via car).

It couldn’t been better.

Beautiful and quite place surrounded by olive trees. Extremely clean and the most welcoming hosts someone can imagine. Close to the beach and only a 5 min drive from Plakias.

Everything was fine, the room got just very hot during the day and the air conditioning took some time to refresh it.

Maria was extremely kind and gave us all sorts of advice. It was a pleasure staying here, she is just the most amazing host ever! When we left we wished we could have stayed more. The room was big enough, the bathroom was super clean and we had a nice balcony too. The location is great!! Near some amazing beaches but very quiet too
