The property is lovely and right on the port of Hydra. It's very spacious and with a quaint little balcony that has a gorgeous view. The lovely host Giannis, waited for us at the port and asked when our ferry arrives before hand to be on time. He then gave us a small tour of the apartment, and handed over the keys. He also was kind enough to leave some necessary resources like water, some wine and snacks that were a great touch and made our stay much more pleasant. When we mistakenly locked ourselves out, the host was very quick to provide a second pair of keys and help us get back in the apartment.

I really can think of nothing!

Host, Yanni, was most gracious and met me at ferry. Regrettably, I didn’t meet his wife who also communicated with me prior to arrival. Due to strong winds, ferry cancelled for two days and they accommodated me seamlessly. Great location and property. They thought of everything a traveler would need.

The apartment was fully equipped for a relaxing stay. The hosts had stocked the kitchen with coffee, breakfast items, water and even a bottle of wine. We really enjoyed the proximity to the harbor, less than a block away. It was such fun eating our breakfast on the little balcony with views of the harbor and neighborhood. We enjoyed watching the donkeys laden with luggage and goods make their ways up our narrow street right under our balcony. Across the street was a terrific bakery with wonderful savory pastries in the morning and yummy sweet pastries all day - very tempting. The double glazed windows and doors kept the apartment very quiet when closed. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming and always available for questions and help. John met our ferry and helped us with our luggage and showed us the apartment and how everything worked. It was a wonderful 6 day stay.

Great location, was only steps from the wharf where most of the restaurants and shops are located. The apartment was beautiful, a fully equipped kitchen and the hosts provided some provisions such as fruit etc. basically everything we needed. Loved sitting on the side balcony watching the street below and the wharf. The hosts (John and Vasso) were extremely helpful and welcoming. We were met at the ferry on arrived and helped with our luggage to the apartment. Of course Hydra is a beautiful island. Loved our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The property was exceptionally clean and beautifully furnished. The space were large and comfortable. The air conditioning was very efficient. There are 2 air cons and they work well to cool the living space and the mezzanine. We often turned it off that’s how well it worked. The kitchen was a great size. The bedding was very comfortable. The welcome supplies were incredibly generous and thoughtful. Wine, lots of bottled water, a large bowl of fruit, yoghurts, honey, spreads and butter, cookies. We couldn’t get through to it. The location is incredible. I note someone in a previous review said it’s a 3 minute walk to port. This isn’t right. It’s a 10 second walk to port. The apt is basically at the port. A few steps from the apt and you’re there. We loved loved the location. We loved the balcony and the view of the port and boats and the street below. I loved watching the donkeys walking past. It was super easy to walk to many sights and beaches and there were water taxis right at the port vie beaches further away. The hosts vasso and Yianni were such beautiful people. Met us at port, stored our bags until room was ready, then showed us around the apt, gave us valuable information re what to do see etc, were always available if needed and very responsive during the booking process and leading up to the booking. They were just beautiful Greek people who love what they do and want guests to be happy. We adored them. We hope we will come back to beautiful Hydra and if we do we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful apartment in the most perfect location. A 3 minute walk to the port and easily accessible to everywhere. We absolutely loved that Vaso had provided breakfast essentials as well as cookies and a bottle of wine, such a special touch. Vaso met us at the port and walked us back to the apartment and also held our luggage on the day of checkout as we had a later ferry. Vaso and Gianni were lovely people and we’ll be back to see them! Highly recommend this gorgeous apartment.

This is an ideal location for exploring the town and the island. Friendly hosts met me at the ferry, and left nice snacks and drinks. Apartment was well appointed in every way, good internet, nice air conditioning and I loved having my morning coffee on the little balcony terrace. Would absolutely return.

Nothing that we didn’t like. If you are a light sleeper, you might object to the sounds of the street below coming to life in the morning. We loved it!

Bed was really comfortable, the location was FABULOUS-next to lots of shops, coffee shops, bars, restaurants etc and a 3 min walk from where the ferry arrives and departs. The apartment was spotless. our hosts were so lovely-they met us at the ferry and accompanied us to the apartment. There was a lovely welcome pack-biscuits, water, wine, fruit and Greek yogurt 😀.

The space upstairs was stifling - the conditioner does not cool this space and the fan doesn’t help. The pillows could be softer.

Perfect (perfect and ideal!!!!) location, view, helpful and nice owners. The apartment is stylish and has everything you need (and even more - like the bottle of vine, fruits, snacks)

Wish I could have stayed longer. That weekend was August 15th, Dormition of the Virgin Mary/ “Panagia”, very crowded and too many French tourists, almost like being in Paris.

Very welcoming host, attentive to every detail, apartment has everything needed. Fridge was full of good things to eat and drink and everything for a nice breakfast too. Air conditioning worked fine so apartment was always comfortable. Fan on the mezzanine where the bed is for comfort. Comfortable couch, big TV, with a second one for bedroom viewing. Nice bathroom with top and hand held shower, good water pressure. Washing machine and detergent. Clothes lines and clothespins. Great balcony with table and 2 chairs you can have breakfast and enjoy the view of port activities. You hear the donkeys walk up the street, the pleasant exchanges of the Hydriots, you see the harbour action of beautiful yachts, ferries etc.. The apartment is very beautiful with an intelligent layout, good lighting. Has a range (high-tech) and a microwave. The owner even supplied what is needed to make Greek coffee. Flexible to our needs and made concessions to help us out. Great location ! Having lived at the top of Hydra and having to climb up or go down to town every time, this effortless location is a welcome change. Advantageous location in the heart of the port, access to everything without the effort. I know I'm repeating myself but balcony is GREAT, people watching from the comfort of your home. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
