Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere is quite a steep flight of stairs from the entrance, and some people might find that difficult.
Good sized room with thoughtful basket of biscuits etc. There was a good sized balcony. The view was not inspiring but fine to sit out and relax with an ouzo. Also had an excellent shower with lots of hot water.

AustraliaBathroom quite compact but shower excellent!
Very helpful staff, delightful ambience, balcony overlooking activity on the lane below so interesting, great location, just 2 very interesting minutes walk to the waterfront, plenty of restaurants, tavernas, bars and a supermarket just a minute or two away.

Austriaexcellent location, very nice balcony for breakfast or the likes with table and 2 chairs. Not super new bathroom or furniture but comfy and very clean. Fridge a bit noisy at night, but very nice to have one. Not sure it was easy to get a hold of reception staff for unexpected issues but extremely attentive and flexible with check in and out, also while not there. Mosquito net on window was a plus, also clothes line on balcony.

AustraliaPossibly be given two keys - one for me and one for my partner, but this was not a big issue at all.
The location was central to the port and to restaurants/tavernas and beaches to swim. Large rooms with balcony and great, roomy shower with good water pressure.

AustraliaIt was perfect.
A lovely small hotel in the heart of Hydra. A short walk to all the nearby restaurants, galleries, shops & beaches. Great staff who organised for us to check in early. Comfortable bed & good shower. Highly recommended.

United StatesThere are no street numbers in Hydra, so finding the Guesthouse took a bit of triangulation. Apple Maps couldn't locate the street. Google Maps sent us way up the hill. You should probably contact the property before arriving to get specific directions.
The Korali Guesthouse is located a couple blocks north of the harbor in Hydra, so it is very convenient. Georgia, the proprietess, met us when we arrived and showed us to our room. She was very friendly and made us feel immediately welcome. She made some good suggestions about places to eat in the neighborhood. There was a small balcony off our room that overlooked the street. A very pleasant place for a late afternoon glass of wine.

United KingdomThere was no kitchenette, we generally like to make our own breakfasts. So we're forced to either eat out, or buy stuff to bring back. It could also be a little noisy in the evening due to the proximity to the harbour. If you enjoy a lay-in in the morning, you'll be disappointed, the nearby church bells chime half hourly from 6am.
A great place, just a short walk, 50 yards up from the harbour front. We requested and was provided with one of the rear facing rooms that had larger covered private terraces. The room was very spacious, clean, and well decorated. A moderately sized bathroom with shower cubicle and a proper overhead shower. The staff were very helpful when needed. We were also given a small welcome bottle of wine, and were provided with jams and biscuits. The room was cleaned and refreshed daily, even to the point of possessions being tidied up (though my partner did not like that, I thought it showed an extra touch). Would stay again.

GreeceRoom had a musty smell, air condition didn't work very well, and our room didn't get cleaned while we were there. It was overpriced.
Great location, very central and easy to find. The highlight was the balcony and the small bottle of wine as a welcome. We were grateful for our early check in as our ferry arrived earlier and we didn't need to wander around with our luggage. It was noisy on our first night but luckily it wasn't too bad with the balcony windows closed.

Spainjust got some coffee and water 1 time, next days just towel change. In the week I was there there were a lot of saint´s days and that means the church bells starts tolling at 7 a.m. and it maybe just me but the hammering of the bells really got on my nerves .-)
very good value for money, so close to the port. Room is very basic but so is the price, so perfect! Has a nice little terrace. All in all I would recommend!

United StatesThe guesthouse is right across the way from some sort of storage building, and the carts were quite noisy as they loaded up in the morning and trundled off over the cobbles. We had a white noise app on our phone so were ok after the first morning, but just good to know.
Everything was clean and fresh, the room was just what we needed as a base to sleep and set off from.
