Nothing. Even the 69 stairs to get to the venue weren't a problem. And btw. they are good to keep your blood sugar levels at bay (Glucose Goddess™-approved) :)

11/10 !!! The best place to stay in Kalymnos! The accommodation exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Since the season was getting to an end, we were given a bigger room at no extra charge! The rooms were cleaned daily and the towels were replaced regularly. The apartment had a nice terrace where we could watch stunning sunsets over the Aegean Sea every single day. Chris is a fantastic host and Horizon is a great place. We will be back for sure.

The only thing was the WiFi was a little patchy.

The location was amazing, the view every morning was great. Really close to everything and the room was really clean and tidied daily.

The small apartment has a microwave for cooking (no hob)

Very comfortable, clean and modern. Lovely view and close to the restaurants. The ground floor apartments had lovely open space outside and the apartment for 4 was spacious inside. Endless hot water, night and day ( but it is very hot, so don't scald yourself!) Chris was very friendly, helpful and responsive.

Horizon exceeding our expectations for this climbing trip! It's in the perfect location to be close to everything you need but just tucked away enough to quiet and peaceful. Really lovely rooms and the manager was super helpful. Rooms are well equipped with everything you could need and also very comfortable. We'll be rebooking for our trip next year.

Don't make the same mistake we did and leave the windows open overnight....mosquitos! But there's AC, so you don't need the breeze at night :)

Great location within a minute walk of climbing stores and some of the best food on the island. Perfect Basecamp for a climbing trip. Owner lived in the States, so incredibly easy to communicate with, and hospitable. Thanks again Chris!

There are a good few stairs getting in and out of the hotel. To be honest that’s the reality in most beautiful coastal towns in the Greek islands. Just pack accordingly.

We were in town for a family wedding. The hotel was perfectly located. The owner and his staff were fantastic. The property was, clean and modern. They provided water and fresh towels for the room. The hotel is centrally located that you can pop into many different restaurants for all meals. Be it something formal or a quick grab and go option. The views were stunning!

Lots of steps although we knew that from the reviews. Tiny balcony with stools as no room for chairs (or table). No place to eat - just on stools. View was partly obscured by a tree and TV aerial - I photographed the sunset from the road. I think we were in room 214 and all the other views looked fine.

Lovely views. Nice modern rooms, well equipped. Good value. Nice bathroom. Really nice owner. Telescope for guests use. Close to tavernas etc.

The property had new renovations and is very comfortable, new AC units, modern small kitchenette etc etc while still feeling traditional and cosy. Bed was really comfortable, not too hard or soft. the bathrooms are excellent - really quality finish with a fantastic shower. the host/owner Chris is a gent and really goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Honestly it’s 10/10 , a fantastic place to stay.

Balcony was a bit small - consider rooms on ground floor with terraces

Clean, well maintained rooms. They look like they were very recently renovated. Views from all rooms are spectacular and face the sunset behind Telendos island. Short walk down to the road close to some lovely restaurants (la kambusa and Aegean tavern were out favs). Some nice bars and cocktail bars very close with great views out to Telendos island.

We had a lovely stay at Horizon Hotel. We appreciate the boutique, apartment-hotel style which made for a calm, private space. The room was comfortable, nicely equipped, and had a lovely view from the balcony. The location was great for us, with it being a short walk to many restaurants, shops, and the beach (but for those who are less mobile, the stairs back to the property might be a struggle). The owner, Chris, was great - he was responsive to all our messages (on WhatsApp) and requests and was sympathetic and helpful when our arrival flight was delayed by a day. We would stay again!

Excellent spot, great view and somewhat quiet considering how many tourists were in Massouri/Mirties at the time.

Room was quite small and the outdoor space was limited - would have been nice to have eg some communal space to relax in. It is up A LOT of stairs - so not super accessible which could have been advertised more clearly. The outdoor chairs weren’t very comfy.

The views were amazing. It was sparkling clean. Great air-con, and the bathroom was very modern. Very comfortable place to stay. Lovely to have the little balcony. The staff were great.

I understand this is a general problem on the island, and it’s not the property’s fault at all, but I had to exterminate one roach in the bathroom one evening. It has happened to me in other hotels in Kalymnos as well, so I don’t blame it on anyone. In comparison, this was the best hotel I’ve stayed in on the island!

Chris, the hotels manager and owner, was a wonderful, helpful, talkative and very polite host. The room I stayed was very nice. The furniture and fittings made a novel and impeccable impression on me. Very nice view from the terrace. Everything was fine. Three beaches within short walking distance. I personally prefered the beach in Mirties, as it is not as crowded as the one in Massuri. One thing I want to mention regaring persons with walking difficulties: There are stairs to walk up to the hotel. However, I do not know if there is a stair free option to reach the hotel.

Access by the 69 steps was quite challenging; especially when you arrive with a suitcase. It should be mentioned in the explanation of the hotel.

The bed was big and very comfy. Very clean and nicely decorated. View was excellent. We certainly recommend and hope to return.
