Not always enough hot water for a hot showerf

Katarina and her daughter Alexandra worked very hard to provide a great breakfast each day for all guests in aprox 40 apartments- they were always welcoming everyone in and wanting to get to know you , where you were from and what you had been doing each say.The reception staff were also very friendly and informative and lent us a beach umbrella to use. We stayed 6 nights and the day we checked out they gave us a small jar of honey from Skopelos as a gift.

The beds were not very confortable. Upper floors reachable only by stairs(97 of them) but the view compensated that.

some stairs to our room we should have asked for a lower ground room but we asked for a panoramic see view which meant that it would be at a higher floor. We ate at very close fish restaurant 150 meters from the property O Tasos . The food was excellent and staff very friendly that we went another time. there is also a cafe 50 m from the property. From the property you would get very nice views of the mountains covered with pine trees.

Very close 7pms from Glossa port . Located very close to a sandy beach. well maintained, clean and daily room cleaning. New clean towels everyday. the owner Nicos was friendly welcoming and very helpful. He even collected us from the bus stop when our crossing was delayed to 9pm. He also agreed for us to have our breakfast 45 minutes early to allow us to take a 0820 bus to Milia another beautiful beach 4 km by bus. The receptionist Maria was very helpful and responded to all our requests. She even printed our tickets for the ferry. Alexandra the kitchen person prepared a highly presentable, clean breakfast with different varieties. The Skopelos pie should not be missed. The coffee machine produced a variety of coffees.

it is not beachfront is beach near. there is no restaurant. the breakfast were poor. no towels changing. cleanliness poor. ants and spiders in the apartment. zero privacy. neighbors walking through your balcony.

On arrival, we were informed by the host that the sofa bed was broken, but they will fix it, and that we will always have plenty of hot water for washing. This seemed strange and we soon found out why he said this. It took 10 minutes of running the water before it became hot. This took a lot of advanced planning on our behalf if we wanted to go out in a rush. Upon further inspection of our room, we found that the bathroom sink was not fixed to the wall and the water in the kitchen sink was virtually non existent, so this made rinsing dishes a nightmare. On the first morning of going to breakfast in the hotel (which was pre-paid for), we spoke to the host, telling him that we were unhappy about the breakfast that he was supplying. The coffee was as weak as water, the fresh orange juice tasted like orange squash and the food choice was almost non existent. The host said that he would supply us with a stronger pot of coffee, which was great, until he only added hot water to top up the pot and no new filter or ground’s making the coffee weak and un drinkable. We ended up going for breakfast at a nearby restaurant for the last 10 days of our stay at Hovolo hotel (at our expense). After speaking to the host about breakfast, he said that he would come to our room to discuss our complaints. We were still waiting for him to come and speak with us four days later. The host clearly became upset with us and for two days our room was not cleaned. When we brought the cleaning issue to his attention, his response was rude and aggressive and how dare we complain. We felt that this was totally unacceptable and asked Booking.com if we could leave the the hotel. However, they rejected our request. The host then attempted to bribe us by giving us a partial refund in exchange for a 10 score review there and then. Needless to say, we refused the offer and left the hotel feeling that our relaxing holiday had turned into a stressful and exhausting experience.

The location was extremely close to the beach and bus stop. AMAZING VIEWS!

No AC. Bathrooms were dirty, outdated, and the sink leaked so there was a puddle of water i. the room all day. Plus half of us didn’t have hot water and the beds were very uncomfortable. Staff was not helpful or accommodating our party (11) when it came to fixing the AC unit or securing transport for 11 people. “we got you one cab”. For 11 people?? Don’t stay here

Very clean, very friendly staff. Loved the Hovolo Restaurant. We’ ve tried several restaurants on the island, always went back to Hovolo. Neo Klima and hovolo was the perfect retreat for a quiet “country like” summer vacation.
